Welcome to OMM - Online Marketing Moms

I love that our initials OMM are an anagram for MOM -- Totally serendipitous, I assure you.

When I applied to start this group, I had no idea it would take off -- especially without my knowledge. LOL I just discovered today that not only had the group been approved, but that we already have 45 members in just a matter of days.

First off, feel free to introduce yourself. Be as loquacious or as brief as you care to be. Here is a place where you can be uniquely YOU.

I encourage you to invite other potential OMMs to enhance our discussions and to help us all help each other. I believe we're not on this earth just for ourselves, but to be of use to the people with whom we come in contact.

Start a new discussion, throw in your 2 cents to an ongoing topic, recruit new members - these are ways we can all participate and make this a DOING group, not just a BEING group. We already have a great beginning!

Looking forward to getting to know you and interacting with my current friends and the friends I haven't met yet.

My education is in family counseling, but my husband started this business a few years ago and when I had my daughter, I didn't want her at daycare 12 hours per day. I do almost all of the marketing for our vacation lodging business in Keystone, CO. www.SummitCove.com. I would love to hear any insight you have for really getting the ball rolling. I have sponsored contests on some of the bigger "mom" blogs. We will have one running on Mile High Mamas soon. If anybody has any other suggestions for contests, etc. Drop me a line.

I just saw your website link at the bottom. The first thing I'd encourage you to do is start collecting first names & emails. Then, you have a list to contact and try selling to them over & over again.

We've used videos as freebies to entice visitors to give us their name/email. Then we can market our products to them. Here are 2 pages that might help you get a feel for what we do.

http://www.8weekstoprofits.com/ - This page tells the visitor about the free videos. Once they sign up, they get videos sent to them for a few days.

The other thing that has worked well for us is to use a webinar to promote & sell your product. When they come to our webinar, we give great educational content with a short pitch in the middle.

Americans are on the internet all day long, online marketing is where it's at! I developed a business that allows me to work out of my home office, bring in residual income (without sales), and work with wonderful people across the US. I anticipate exchanging stories and strategies with the group.

I started my marketing business when I was laid off from corproate america. I have 4 children and one grandchild(8 months). Two of us in college and one in high school. This is all part of my fun! Wouldn't want life to get to boring!
