Welcome to OMM - Online Marketing Moms

I love that our initials OMM are an anagram for MOM -- Totally serendipitous, I assure you.

When I applied to start this group, I had no idea it would take off -- especially without my knowledge. LOL I just discovered today that not only had the group been approved, but that we already have 45 members in just a matter of days.

First off, feel free to introduce yourself. Be as loquacious or as brief as you care to be. Here is a place where you can be uniquely YOU.

I encourage you to invite other potential OMMs to enhance our discussions and to help us all help each other. I believe we're not on this earth just for ourselves, but to be of use to the people with whom we come in contact.

Start a new discussion, throw in your 2 cents to an ongoing topic, recruit new members - these are ways we can all participate and make this a DOING group, not just a BEING group. We already have a great beginning!

Looking forward to getting to know you and interacting with my current friends and the friends I haven't met yet.

I loved the video on why adults use Facebook. All of our clients are saying they want "a presence" there, and on Twitter too. They want to sell things to people on there, but maybe they miss the boat.
The essence of the social media is to treat all of these places, like a cocktail party, or a meeting...and you're saying hello for the first time.
After that you can invite people over to your home (your blog, or website) when you know them better.
After you've met and become friends, it is a good place to stay in touch with each other in this "far-flung" world we live in.
I use LinkedIn as my database of friends in my business life, and I've referred business to them, asked them questions (like when someone hacked into my website), and get together with them when I'm travelling to their city.
It works for me.

Dear Lois:

Good for you! I am a follower of the Law of Attraction. Inspiration today posted on http://tweeter.com/intriguingds Most successful people begin with two beliefs: the future can be better than the present, and I have the power to make it so.

God Bless, Rena

I'm thinking a lot about gratitude these days. Though the economy has us all so stressed, it might be good to search (hard) for a silver lining.
I'm looking at all I have to be grateful for: my friends, my family, my home, my good life here in Florida.
Last night, I didn't watch Jim Cramer, and the dismal news about the stock exchange. Instead, I listened to ome nice music an dwrote four thank you notes to people I'm grateful for...now. It made my heart feel good, and I slept better too.
I remember my grandmother saying that he Great Depression was a very difficult time in her life, but that she was always adaptable.
She encouraged me to adapt to any situation that came up, and just think of it as another of life's challenges.
I hope you're all having a good day today.

Hi everyone! I run a blog that had almost 250k page views last month and is shooting for even more in March! I'm just starting to put up 125x125 ads in the sidebar and you could get premium placement at a great price. I'll start from the top down, so if you get in today you'll get above-the-fold placement. If you contact me directly (nvkatz @ gmail.com) I'll send over the site info, etc. Demographic is mostly women, in their early-mid twenties.
