Hi Marla,

You are sooo right! I have been told this before by some great children photographer's. I know I'm not charging enough, and I'm, really struggling with that right now. I know thos sounds lame, but I have a really hard time charging people for what I love to do, and I need to get over that.... I had only one price option of $500.00 up for one week, and I had a lot of people interested and when they saw that I was charging $500.00, they didn't book. So when I get responses like that if freaks me out that I'm not going to get any work, so I created two other packages today in hopes that I'd get people to book. I was really busy the month of Jan and Feb. and March --nothing! Thanks for telling me this, really appreciate it.

warmly,

Monica

I don't have a blog yet, actually I do I created it over a month ago and still haven't had the chance to work on it --tooo many things on my plate!

monica,
you shouldn't feel bad about charging more! the way i look at it, i would rather charge more and work a little less than run all around. your work is good enough for you to be able to do that!

since i like your work so much, i would value your advice about what camera you use and tools you use for sharpening and color. i have so many actions but haven't whittled down the group to just what i like/what works. i am a nikon shooter so if you're canon i won't be able to translate but would still appreciate any tips. i just re-looked at my site and the images ARE horribly unsharp. all i can do is move on and up :) thanks!

Hi Marla,

I love your new pics, but there's something funny going on witht the faces and I see it in a lot of your other photos; I'm not sure how you're processing them, but that white glow all over the faces just doesn't work for me, they look over exposed on the faces and therefore you are loosing detail in their faces. Aside of that, they're good shots.
