Course 1 is a complete free way to get started. The written tutorials are in PSE3, but every version of PSE has the same things, just sometimes in different places...just take a bit to find them. I've got an upgrade of some of the tutorials on my to-do plate.

Hi Cara!! I'm sorry you're having trouble, maybe you'd like to try some tutorials. I have a really good 'getting started' tut for PSE6 here. We have several other PSE tuts on our site, poke around and see if you find them helpful! We also offer Quick Tips for PS/PSE users every Tuesday on our blog http://www.scrappersworkshop.com/blog you might go back and read some back ones and see if they are useful for you! Just wanted to say thank you for your help. Shameful, that I had to come in here, instead of someone in the school helping me! I guess I know who will be with me during my assignments.

I do hope I learn a lot. Perhaps I can post some of my work here (if it is good!). I downloaded the trial (that will start me off) and then I am ordering the full version.

CS4 is a completely different program than Elements. It is the full version of Photoshop, usually costs several hundred dollars compared to PSE which is $99 full retail. Your PSE class will be somewhat helpful for CS4, but the workspace looks different, the menu items are called different things and are in different places. The windows and palettes are mostly the same, but in PSE they have limited functionality. You may want to go to Adobe.com and get the free download of PSE7 so you can follow along.

Hello,

I just realized I joined this group when I first signed up for the community, but haven't stopped in to say hello!

I will be learning Photoshop Elements in class starting on the 18th, so I will need help,but I also may be able to post somethings here for other newbies! I appreciate all your wisdom!

I have a question, though?

I bough a CS4 Premium Suite for class. Does anyone know if that included Photoshop Elements in it or is Elements a separate program from Photoshop CS4?

Hi 'shoppers! I'm an amateur, for sure but I love Photoshop and making new things all the time. I've done a little graphic design for friends businesses and such, but most of what I do is just for me. I only have CS, so I hope I can keep up!

Hey fellow Photoshop junkies. I have been using Photoshop for several years. In no way am I an expert though, it is a program with endless possibilities. I am a scrapbooker/picture fanatic and I love the idea of digital scrapbooking. This is my first group to join on Twitter so I am excited to see what it will offer. Have a funny day everyone!!! :)
