Hi Playtime Mommies! I have to apologize because I have not been a very good hostess the past couple of months. I have spent so much time outside and making some pretty big life changes that I haven't had much time to update our group! I was just wondering what are some of the fun things you ladies have done this summer?

Nicholas and I spent a lot of time at the pool and playing in his sprinkler. Can I tell you...I had forgotten how much fun a sprinkler could be on a hot summer day! It was like re-living my childhood! We had a lot of picnic's, went to the beach, became science explorers and explored our yard for interesting insects, spent a lot of time at the park, went to a couple of shows at our local theatre, had playdates with Nic's friends and just had a lot of fun, quality time.

Oh..and, the big news is that I got re-married, moved and am now expecting a little brother or sister for Nic! So, yeah, we've had a pretty eventful summer! How about you?

We had a busy summer, too! My husband was gone for all of May at Officer Training for the Air Force. He came home on a Friday night and Saturday morning we packed the moving van and drove across the country to our new home in Tennessee. We had a month to play, explore the area and get settled in then he started medical school at the end of July.

We also enjoyed lots of outdoor water activities. Kiddy pools were the biggest hit. We must have spent a lot of time outside because everywhere we went, people commented on how tan the baby was. We continued to go to the library every week for the story program for babies. Once we moved, the new library didn't have a program like that so I offered to start one! It was sparse last week, which was the first day. I hope it grows!

Glad you're back! I took the summer off from TwitterMoms, too. Congratulations on your life changes and good luck with the pregnancy!

WOW!

Eventful summer is an understatement for you lady! Congrats on it all! Wow....

Okay, where to start: my son went to work with me the entire summer and made lots of new friends. He is enrolled in the MyGym so he can have some fun with his friends. I love that place! I'm loving how much he's learning and the confidence that he always takes away with him.

Well, I'm happy to be part of a group that has great moms doing great things for their kids...so don't worry about "doing it all"... It's just good to see parents doing anything positive!

Thanks for the well wishes!
