Find 5 things out about the Inaugural Poem, poet, etc. for Barack Obama which was read at the Inaugural Poem on January 20, 2009.
The 5 things can be whatever you choose, but be sure to include 3 things: The poet's name and the name of the poem.
The other 3 things can be whatever you choose from her birthdate, where she received her education, where she teaches, what her favorite poem style is, places (books) where her work has appeared, or anything about Inaugural Poems, etc. (You can choose more than 5 things if you like!) Let's have a litle fun with this and gather some really great facts.
Learning about other poets helps each poet to learn about themselves. So let's take this challenge as a way to learn and grow!

3. Elizabeth Alexander's poem to celebrate the inauguration of President Barack Obama will be published as a commemorative book by Graywolf Press on Feb. 6.
4. Alexander is the fourth poet to compose a special poem for an inauguration, following Robert Frost, for John F. Kennedy, and Maya Angelou and Miller Williams, for Bill Clinton.
