Where do you write poetry? I tend to write poetry while lying in my bed or sitting on my couch. But I can write blogs and books anywhere! Very odd!!! lol!

I'm new and thought I'd search out a few places I might fit in and hopefully this is one of them. I love the artform in well crafted words, both writing them and reading them. I look forward to meeting like minded individuals~

How did you survive knowing the book would close ,music would stop, a pulse would quit, & you would be left surrounded by empty chairs?

Hello Poetry Moms, I joined the group this afternoon because I have enjoyed writing and reading poetry for as long as I can remember. It is nice to read your comments and your love for not only your children but poetry as well. Glad to be here!

Hi all

Look forward to being part of this group, here's a small poem I wrote a few years ago, I call it message from the universe

Every child’s a gift – not a right. I give to you my gift, the greatest gift I can, my child. Every child is a gift I entrust to you to nurture love and grow. They are my souls please take care of them, they are all born innocent I love them and I love you as you are my child.

Every child’s a gift not a right or a possession, every child’s a soul, sent to you by me and sent for you as my child. Please don’t abuse them or mistrust them, all I ask is that you do the best you can, nothing more as they like you, are eternal and forever developing. You don’t own them as I don’t own you.
