Hi, I'm Candice, and I live in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood of SE Portland. I have a wonderful and handsome husband named Joey, and two beautiful daughters - a 10 yo daughter named Tania and a 2 1/2 yo daughter named Talula. I am an estate planning attorney for families in the Portland area. Basically, I help parents to develop plans that will protect their kids and their assets is anything happens to them, the parents. I am also a member of Mamapreneurs, Inc., a Portland-based group for Mamas who are also entrepreneurs. In my free time, I like to do all of the awesome kid-friendly things that Portland has to offer, like OMSI, Children's Museum, and all of the kid-friendly breweries and coffee shops. (My favorite is Hopworks.) I also like doing things by myself to get my head together, LOL. And, my husband and I make beer, and my family owns a vineyard, so I'm a leetle beet fond of the drink. :)

Our winter favorites are OMSI and the Children's Museum, as well as the various coffee shops with play areas. I can't wait for summer! Having a membership to OMSI and the CM is key, because you only have to think about paying once a year. It's never a money issue whether you can go on a particular day.

I am married to the most wonderful man, David and we are the parents of two beautiful little girls, soon to be 3 little girls. Kaitlen is 2 1/2 years old, Alixe is 10 months and Olivia will be joining us in June, 2009. David and I both work full time, he works in Forest Grove and I work in Downtown Portland, and are very lucky to have our Moms be available to help watch the girls. I love photography and spending time with my family. We have a cat and a dog, whom the kids adore. I'm a mom of two biological sons (23 and 20) and a daughter (18) adopted from Romania. My husband and I live in Fairview (near Troutdale/Gresham) and both work for Reynolds School District. In the past few years we have lived in Tulsa (Oklahoma), Camano Island (Washington), Southern Oregon, Montego Bay (Jamaica), and North Carolina while my husband did full-time volunteer work. I'm excited to now be putting down roots in Portland!

For the past 9 years I've run programs for children with serious emotional and behavioral challenges, which meant what I really did was to work with the families of kids with serious emotional and behavioral challenges, which was what led me to become a Certified Parent Coach through the Parent Coaching Institute and Seattle Pacific University. Having only been in the area for about 6 months, I am just now in the process of establishing my private practice here in Portland, and you can find my website at www.parentingwithpeaceofmind.com

For fun, I really enjoy reading nurturing books, writing, scrapbooking with my daughter, and cooking (especially seafood!). Most of my free time, however, is spent on all-things-parenting.
