Kind of open to exploring both right now, I guess. Just know that the Japanese acupuncture he had was really helpful. I'd love the recommendations for Chinese as well, though. We're open to what works at this point....

Doris: No worries about calling me Suzanne! I will look forward to getting together with you in April; that will be perfect. Are you set on Japanese Acupuncture or open to Chinese Acupuncture? I know a couple of terrific practitioners...

Wondering whether anyone in this group has a tip for Japanese acupuncture in the Portland area? My husband had one treatment about 3 weeks ago in British Columbia and it was really helpful for some stress and pain issues he's been dealing with. I'm not really wild about just picking a name from the phonebook.....

Hi all! i've been enjoying all of the chatter and intros. I'm Korin, a chiropractor and craniosacral therapist who works with mamas babies, and daddies from my home in SE Portland. (www.doctorkorin.com) I have a 2.5 yr old tornado named Ruby who rocks my world. We spend a lot of time at OMSI and are looking forward to the Zoo when it warms up a bit!
I also love to cook and knit! ooops! my next patient is here! later mamas!

Savannah, I'm so sorry! I realized after my last post that I wrote "Suzanne" instead of Savannah! I think it was some crazy subconscious thing because my web designer's name is Suzanne, and I've typed it so many times lately my fingers must have gotten the best of me... I'm definitely interested in getting together as well as the idea for a group such as you've proposed. Heading into Spring Break right now is extremely busy for me, but how about if we connect around the first or second week of April and see if we can arrange a time to meet up. I'll do a "friend invite" (I guess that's what it is called on Twitter ~ I haven't really paid attention :) so that we can keep track of one another, and then be in touch in a few weeks.

Doris, it does sound like our approach is very similar! I would love to get together and have tea sometime soon...I have been thinking about creating a small peer coaching group for like-minded coaches wanting to share ideas, support, ect...

Hi Laura, I'm in Westmoreland. Have you looked at the Urban Mamas calendar? http://urbanmamas.typepad.com/calendar/ You might be able to find some things to do where you can meet other Moms. Also, I'm not sure what type of parenting you're into, but if you're into natural living and attachment parenting, you might like to hook up with the Mothering.com Portland moms. http://www.mothering.com/discussions/forumdisplay.php?f=97 Basically, just click on the PDX in March thread and jump right in at the end. Don't bother reading the whole thread. It'll take too long.
