Pregnant on Prozac – Antidepressants today top the list of drugs prescribed to women. But what happens when you add pregnancy into the mix? Pregnant on Prozac is the first guide to separate the myths from the facts.

Hi all of you brave women out there,
I had PPD, but didn't realize it until later - My daughter is now 7 and I have come to the realization that I will probably never be like I was pre-baby.
I am collating material for a book about parenting newborn babies. I have included a section on PPD, but I would love some parent stories. when did you realize, how did you feel, what helped and what didn't. I know reading about others would have helped me to realize what I was going through earlier. I do not have to include your real name - if you do not feel comfortable posting on twittermoms, you could send me an email at michelle@sixtysecondparents.com
This is a very difficult subject, but I feel it is essential to get information out there to new mothers who may be suffering that they are not alone.

I am so glad I came back to Twitter moms. When I had my baby Twitter wasn't main stream yet but it is now and I have been on that for the past 6 months but now I need a group for PPD cause I am in the swing of it now. I have bi-polar as well and that doesn't help but I have no one who knows what I am going through except for you guys and I am desperate to talk to others who are like me not feel so alone. Thank god I found you all

You're absolutely right. I'm thinking my PPD is merging into something more permanent, and I'm just glad I have this group to vent!

Hi ladies! I'm glad this group was started because it is important to have people who know what you're going through to talk to. Just be careful to remember that every illness is different, and may require different types of treatment and may take different amounts of time to recover from. So be careful about comparisons and feeling bad if your situation doesn't seem as "easy" to get through as someone else's.

I'm headed to the dr tomorrow. I'm crying over everything and now sleeping anymore. Think it's time to ask for help...

I was on 'vacation' visiting family for 3 weeks and totally screwed up my meds. If I'm not in tears wanting to fling myself down the stairs, I'm angry. Thank goodness for a supportive family...

Are there any medications or ways to deal with this? I mean, because this is not really me. I'm not crazy!!
