Protect Baby by Limiting Chemicals During Pregnancy

  • Rating: No Rating
I think it's important for expecting and new moms to carefully consider the products they use during pregnancy. In beauty, specifically hair care and skin care, chemically based products contain ingredients that put the baby at risk. The chemicals we should be aware of are sulfates, phthalates, parabens, DEA and synthetic fragrances. These chemicals, which can be absorbed through our pores, are linked to endocrine disruption, neurotoxicity, angenonital disease, cancer and hormonal disruption.

I know this is not a light subject but I think it’s an issue that women will take seriously once they are informed. I encourage you to do some research on the chemicals listed above. I think you will find that it’s important to consider what we put on our bodies. What we put on our body does go into our body. For example, chemicals in our hair care seep through the pores on our scalp, mix into our bloodstream and interact with the unborn baby’s circulation.

Moms please read your labels carefully or consider using natural products. Many of the chemicals in our hair care products in the US are BANNED in Europe. This is an extremely important issue and I believe using pregnancy safe shampoo and pregnancy safe skin care is of utmost importance.
