How do you connect with other LGBT parents and families in your community?
Unfortunately, my partner and I worked for the LGBT Center here in our community and were burned by working for a nonprofit. We haven't found very many other ways to connect with families in the area! Any suggestions?

I honestly, don't know of many LGBT parents or families within my community, only because most people mistake me for being 100% straight, plus, this is Wyoming, only the singles are flagrant about their orientation, very few people in couples actually say or let on to what they are.

I'm sorry I have no suggestions to offer.

I'm in Ohio and unfortunately all the LGBT people are hiding out...especially couples. We get together and disappear from the community only to find it gets lonely with no one around like you. And I'm not big into finding other gay parents at bars...LOL.

We don't connect with other LGBT families and we miss that sometimes. Mostly we connect with the families that our kids are playing sports with or their school friends. We have more in common with them than we might with other LGBT families - just because we see them on a regular basis in our social circle.
