I don't remember if I introduced myself or not. I am Stacie a sahm of three. I have two boys and a girl. My two boys are my picky eaters but my daughter will eat just about anything. I love to cook and bake and I am always on the hunt for new recipes. Looking forward to this group.
Hello! I'm Audrey, and new to the group! I'm married with four wonderful children.
I joined the group for several reasons. I have some great recipes of my own, ones handed down, but you hit that time in life, where you kinda get tired of eating the same things for many years so I look forward to new recipes and sharing some of our family favs!
I'm a mom - though both daughters are in college now - I love to share cooking tricks with moms and teach kids to cook. My friends are amazed at what their kids will try when I get them to pitch in to help cooking...I love it so much that I now have started a business Chef-K, culinary health education for kids. My website www.chef-k.com always has seasonal recipes and I'll be glad to share here as well.
Hi everyone, I'm Cristie and I'm learning to cook by writing a food blog. The blog started as an idea from my employer to promote gourmet foods created by Wisconsin artisans. But the blog has taken on a life of its own. I write about my kids, dogs, garden, friends, and extended family. It seems like my house is in a perpetual vortex of craziness. And the craziness changes from day to day. So I always have plenty to write about. This morning I asked my daughter if it was just our house that was crazy or did she think other families had such chaos. She said it was just us. I sighed. But the good news is I make three new recipes each week which I find in cookbooks written by Wisconsin chefs and my cooking is definitely improving. I used to have a hard time following a recipe, - I'd want to be creative and follow my cooking muse instead of the printed page. But having no idea what I was doing I made a lot of awful meals. My family complained. And now, 2 years later, I'm pretty competent at following recipes and my family doesn't complain so much anymore (unless I try to feed them extra healthy food).
So if anyone wants to get serious about learning to cook I recommend starting a food blog, - an HONEST food blog. You might be shamed as I was into learning to make great food!
