Green Tomatoes

Does anyone have a recipe or green tomatoes that they would like to share? I just harvested the last of my tomatoes and most are green. I wanted to get them before the frost did because once they freeze they are no longer usable.

Permalink Reply by Laurie Zerga on October 19, 2009 at 9:37am: Just ran into your note via cooking with kids...I know of the typical recipes for fried green tomatoes, various relishes, etc...however if you grow your own tomatoes in future you might try this trick. We pull the whole plant green tomatoes and all - then hang them in the garage upside down from the rafters...the tomatoes ripen naturally with last of the energy from the vine. We often have tomatoes for thanksgiving and one year a few made it until Christmas. If you happen to have a hot house, you can hang them in there.
