A place to meet a TON of people for your Network Marketing Business

  • Rating: No Rating
So I've been trying to think of ways to meet more people. Then it dawns on me....why not the County Fair? Lots of people. Lots of exposure. This could work. So I talked to my upline and we decided to go for it. I've gone in with 4 other consultants and we are going to split the contacts, do demonstrations of our Arbonne products, and have a GREAT time together! As I think more about this, I keep thinking that for many of us, this has great potential to help us all expand our business. Not only would it work for Arbonne, or Mary Kay, or Avon....but I bet this would be good for people doing other businesses as well. From Party Lite, to Cookie Lee.
This will be our first time (but not our last there are tons of health fairs etc.) have any of you done fairs? If so. What has worked for you? What hasn't?

I'll update next week after the Fair and let you know how it went.

Be well Ladies!

Hi! I am in Arbonne also. I really love it. Have been for just a few months. How are you meeting people like on twitter and other places on the net to expand your business? That County Fair sounds great, I am sure you will have a great time meeting so many people. Were you at NTC? It was wonderful! I met so many nice people. Have a good day, I look forward to learning more about how to meet others here. I did not know what our boundaries were for being online... Have a great day! Pamela

Hello Pamela! I'm really happy to meet a fellow Arboone Consultant! =D. First off, with Twitter, I'm just updating my own tweets at the moment. I'm still trying to figure twitter out. As far as other places on the internet, I try to follow the "like me, know me, trust me" rule just the same as in RL. So I want to make friends with people first. Not only do I have a new awsome person in my life that way, but I can better serve those people because I know what they want, what is within their budget, etc. etc...
That isn't to say that I'm just making friends with people to sell them something, or sign someone up. But the people I do make friends with, and they happen to buy something, then I can really serve them well. I hope that makes sense.
I didn't get to go to NTC (but I really wish I could have) My son is 7 months old, so he was too little to leave and I've only been in Arbonne since March. So next year, I'm DEFINATELY going =D. The rest of my team went and they had a blast!
After the Fair, I'll come on and update how it all went and what we did. What worked and what didn't. We plan on being the team that goes to these types of things a lot. Anyhoo. It's great to meet you! And I'm still learning too so we will be able to figure things out together.

Hello Ladies!
Ok so heres an update on how doing a booth at the fair worked:

We were allowed to set up the day before the fair and we got there about 9:00 am, checked in and then took the tables up to our space. We set one table in the back, one in the front. On the back, we set up our display, and on the front was all the information for people to look at including before and after pictures, and two catalogues. Heres a picture:

We decided that we wern't going to give out samples for people to take home, nor were we going to hand out catalogues or fliers. For one, the samples and catalogues cost money, and we didn't want to have to spend a crap load to acomodate everyone at the fair, and two, we didn't want people who had no interest in Arbonne but just wanted the free samples. We also set up a raffle. This was what was next to the jar and what they could win:

Ok I'm having computer issues:
So the prizes were one of three Arbonne Products. And the other prize was a free in home facial for you and 4 friends.
So save money, I only chose one person to win the actual prize product. And everyone else, I have been giving the facial to.

So here is what we did at the Fair. First, we always had someone out in front of the booth. We had hand creme, or a refreshing aromatherapy mist, or sunscreen to let people try right then and there and we offered it to people as they passed by. This really drew people in and gave us an opportunity to get to know people. Also, we didn't bring any extra catalogues or samples to take home. For one, to provide enough samples and catalogues for everyone would have cost WAY too much money. For two, there are people out there how just go from booth to booth taking samples and really have no interest in the products. This also gave us genuine contacts who are actually interested in what we had.

By the end of fair, I had 40 contacts from the raffle for myself, and another 20 from the people who had requested more information. The other girls got at least that many as well.

The responses I have gotten from people have been great! When I got home, I created a spreadsheet of the contacts. It had name, address, phone, notes (things I had written down to remember about people so I could keep track of who people were) and response. In the response section, I wrote dates I have scheduled parties, or the date I left a message, or the date I spoke to people and they wanted to get back to me with a day for their facial with their friends. When i call people about the facial, I tell them they won and the get all excited and then I say "Ok the next step is to set a date. Here is what I have open, what day is good for you?" Doing this I have booked 6 parties so far. I had two today, I have two on Monday, one on Wednesday, and another in June. About 15 people so far have said, let me see when my friends are available and I'll get back to you. So with those people I'll call in the next few days to follow up.

If you ladies have an opportunity you should go for this. Its a great way to meet people and get into your cold market. I hope this helps, and sorry its so long lol.
Have a wonderful day!

Thats awesome Juliette! Mary Kay is a great company. I don't know much about it, but I do know they have good products and they were one of the companies that blazed the way for Network Marketing.
Thanks for responding. I hope you can use this idea and I hope it helps others who read it =D

MY TIP:
Country Fairs are a great idea and lots of fun too. I used to do Pampered Chef and I found them to be a huge success to get parties booked. I am into chocolate now and doing chocolate tastings and showing people how to earn money with it. I started using a voice broadcasting system and I have gotten huge results from that coast to coast. It saves tons of time and anyone can use it. I know of a good one and you can also become an affliate and make some money with the program also.

That is definately the way to work it . . . I've been a Mary Kay consultant since Feb. 2005 (love it). I haven't done county fairs, but have done Art & Wine festivals, Bridal faires and business faires. All have brought me many leads (one business faire brought me 400 leads) --some stilll my regular clients today. I have always provided samples (no brochures though) ---and a raffle for a beautiful gift basket w/gift certificate and complementary facial / color cosmetics session. It is always great!

What I am working on now is maintaining my excellent customer base and obtaining referrals from that client base. I do that through SendOutCards. It is a company that allows you to create a greeting card online --and the company prints the card, stuffs the envelope, stamps it and mails it for you. You can include a gift if you like. They have over 10,000 cards to choose from ---or you can upload your own pictures and create your own card. You can use your own handwriting font --and personal signature. They have postcards, regular greeting cards and tri-fold cards (which work great for a special event or newsletter) . . . It costs so much less that buying cards in the store ---and it takes less than 60 seconds to create and send the card.

I am building my business larger by showing appreciation for the clients that I have. It's awesome.

If you want to check it out --you can create your own card for FREE
