Hi Ladies! Come on in, the water is fine! Introduce yourself and tell us where you're from!

I'll go first. I'm Angie and I live in Chino Hills, just 40 miles east of Downtown L.A. I originally grew up in Kansas City but relocated after I got married. My husbad Michael and I have been married for 17 years and we have 2 children, Michael, Jr. and Nicole, ages 16 and 13 respectfully.I like walking, scrapbooking and reading. Someday I hope to travel to Tuscany, Italy, run my first 5k and create world peace. Sorry, couldn't resist those last 3 words. : )

I created this group so that Moms all across the "Southland" can network, discuss, tell stories, share opinions, chat, brag about our kids and finally find the answer to that burning question every SoCal Mom wants to know----"Where can I go to get a really good mani-pedi?"

Another hot day in L.A. Don't forget your sunscreen especially on your kids and drink plenty of water.

I can see the fires in La Canada from RPV where we just had our share of fires but luckily it's been contained. Prayers to all of you whose lives got turned upside down this weekend.

Hi SoCalMoms! The Autry Museum is holding a lecture ("Lean Times, Green Times"/ Saturday, Aug. 29) about the costs of eating organic food during tough economic times. Is it a luxury or a necessity? Letcure followed by a "cook-off" between two local LA chefs. They must prepare a tasty organic meal for a family of four for under $30. Live action cooking fun for the whole family. Farmers Market stand on site. Free with museum admission. http://www.autrynationalcenter.org/nadine_carson_forum.php

Has anyone heard of PrimeAmerica? What did you think about it for insurance and for the business end of it?

Thanks,
