Do You Ever Think About Not Being An SAHM Anymore? Ever Think About Getting A Job?

Sometimes i think about going back to work. I know no one can raise my children the way I can. I do wonder sometimes, what it would be like if I went to work? Do you?

I definately think about going back to work- outside of the home, that is. I currently am a freelance writer for a local magazine and also blog for a childproofing company. I love being at home with my children but also feel like I want to contribute to the larger community. Every day, though, I remind myself that my kids will only be small once and try to enjoy the time with them.

I know it's not possible for me. My kids always say they would be sad if I went back to work. That seals the deal for me.. So I started my website. Wrote a cookbook over the summer in my spare time. Ha ha. And found I am happy doing what I do because it is a lot of work to keep of the house, volunteer at school stay organized, cook. drive everyone around, host play dates.....I think I am already tired.
Then add on top of this that I am doing the most important job in the world. I am raising children who will be adults one day, voting and making choices for all of us, and contributing to society. They may make changes that change our world and I want then to go out into world knowing who they are with a strong family and faith foundation. They are so special and smart and I am so lucky to be their mom.

I've had part time jobs during the last 7 years (since becoming a mom), and I always dreaded going to work. So now I haven't worked in 2.5 years. Didn't really need it, and while I miss parts of it, there were only certain aspects of it that I do miss. 90% didn't like going in, which made it not worth it.

Yeah you are right you should enjoy the time with your children while they are growing up.
