twitter moms: the influential moms network

Hi everyone. My name is Lana and I started this group. I blame Murphy's Law. As moms, we have all fallen victim to Murphy's law. Things will go wrong at precisely the right moment when you need them to go right. For us Super Moms, Murphy's Law often takes precedent in our lives.

Here are some examples:

• Your child gets sick and you have a presentation to give at work, and dear daddy is nowhere to be found.

• You are running late and you forget the children’s lunches.

• The baby spits up on your shirt and you don’t notice it until after that important presentation that you were already late for and had to run out of because you have to drop that sick child off at your mother’s.

• The only time you find a close parking spot when you get to the grocery store is when you have none of the children with you.

• Your noisy neighbor (That stay at home mom that makes everything from scratch and has that spotless home – you know her. Yes, the mom with the polite children that look and act nothing like yours!) only comes over when your kids have turned your living room into Fort Knox.

• One of the kids gets sick before Christmas - right about the time you have run out of sick days and you end up having to borrow a vacation day, or two or three or in my case, four, from the upcoming year.

• How about when you send your child to school, knowing all too well, that they are sick, and praying the school nurse does not call, but sure enough, she calls the minute you arrive at your desk.

On a personal note, I am a working mother, who seems to wish the days were longer and that I needed less sleep.

You can also visit me at my blog (http://ohboy-boys.blogspot.com/) to read all about the ramblings of an overworked, overwhelmed, underpaid and underappreciated working mother (with RA)who loves her kids and never stops.

In the meantime, I am glad you joined us.

Right on! We all are wearing our "Pink" capes with a beautiful "M" on the back (probably upside down and backwards, because we made it at 2 in the morning?) oh, and it has PBJ smeared in the lower corner, a tear trail, and a boogie on the top corner. Humor, that's me! I try my best most day's for everyone else to keep a grin and a positive energy to keep the sanity. Really, deep down having daycare in my home, working my Arbonne business, a family of 6 (hubby & me, our 3 kids, and 1 stepson), 3 dogs & 5 frogs & 1 fish, get's overwhelming some day's, and hubby wonders why I don't want to be touched at the end of the day, or why melting in his arms sounds much more appealing than watching football? There is "HOPE", finding TM's and all the lovely friendships and connections in the universe, helps keep my sanity, like a human, a women. So with that Super "TM's" here we come!

Hi, My name is Briana. I have two boys, a dh, 4 cats and some fish :) I work full time from home. I enjoy scrapbooking, cooking and photography. I feel like I'm running 100mph most days. I guess that means this group fits, huh? :)

Hi everyone, I'm Angela. This is definitely a great group and I feel every mom IS a supermom!

Now I DO know what the maternity nurse in the hospital meant when she sarcastically told me "enjoy your sleep now!" That was the day after I gave birth.

Hi all, just joined the group. I have a baby girl named AJ, she's 9 months old. I have a couple of months left before I need to go back to work. I'm already dreading it. More time lost doing stuff for somebody else.

Hey girls,

I definitely need this group! I run a parenting blog called SuperMom Central and am up at 4:30 AM to get my post written for the day before my 3 little ones (all under 5) awaken and the madness begins! So glad to have a place to unwind for the whole 5 seconds I have to spare.

Keep up the good work, ladies!
