Super Moms: Please Introduce Yourselves.

Hi everyone. My name is Lana and I started this group. I blame Murphy's Law. As moms, we have all fallen victim to Murphy's law. Things will go wrong at precisely the right moment when you need them to go right. For us Super Moms, Murphy's Law often takes precedent in our lives.

Here are some examples:

• Your child gets sick and you have a presentation to give at work, and dear daddy is nowhere to be found.

• You are running late and you forget the children’s lunches.

• The baby spits up on your shirt and you don’t notice it until after that important presentation that you were already late for and had to run out of because you have to drop that sick child off at your mother’s.

• The only time you find a close parking spot when you get to the grocery store is when you have none of the children with you.

• Your noisy neighbor (That stay at home mom that makes everything from scratch and has that spotless home – you know her. Yes, the mom with the polite children that look and act nothing like yours!) only comes over when your kids have turned your living room into Fort Knox.

• One of the kids gets sick before Christmas - right about the time you have run out of sick days and you end up having to borrow a vacation day, or two or three or in my case, four, from the upcoming year.

• How about when you send your child to school, knowing all too well, that they are sick, and praying the school nurse does not call, but sure enough, she calls the minute you arrive at your desk.

On a personal note, I am a working mother, who seems to wish the days were longer and that I needed less sleep.

You can also visit me at my blog (http://ohboy-boys.blogspot.com/) to read all about the ramblings of an overworked, overwhelmed, underpaid and underappreciated working mother (with RA)who loves her kids and never stops.

In the meantime, I am glad you joined us.

Please introduce yourself and participate in the discussions. Please feel to start your own discussions.

Hi Everyone my name is JackieO
I am a mom of 3 Daughters, and a Gran to 4, 1 girl and 3 boys.
I think we all Super Moms we all try our "Best".
It's all trial and error, they don't come with manuals.
By the time we think we got it figured out, they are grown up and gone...
Then your left wondering where did the time go?
We really a "Super"!

Regards JackieO

Murphy's law...boy does that apply to my life! I am a working mom of 3 beautiful, demanding girls! I have days where I wish Calgon would take me away! (Anyone remember those commercials?) I am happy to have found a group where everyone will understand the insanity!

I feel like a super mom most of the time. I dont think I am up there with everyone else though. I am a firefighter EMT and a mom to 2 girls under the age of 2. My oldest is a diabetic as well as a premi she voices her opinion to everything quite well. I have my 6 month old who still dosent sleep through the night, is always fussy had boughts of colic and loves to eat. I have a significant other who has more things going on in his life right now that takes up a lot of his mind and since I understand the situation quite well I still support him as much as I can. I have managed to keep both my girls out of daycare which was my goal in life. All while trying to get in a work out to lose baby weight, keep my training up to par with my job, juggling both girls, dinner cleaning house and did I mention I am a diabetic as well.... By the time my head hits the pillow at night I am OUT! I think I found the place I need to be... I think most of the moms on here fit the topic of super mom! Good job moms!

Hello Supermoms!

My name is Valerie and I am mom of three (6,4,2). I own a Stroller Strides franchise in Houston, TX and a budding photography/design studio.

My car, house, and hair are total wreck most days everyday and my mailman and the UPS/Fed Ex delivery guys probably think I have a split personality because they usual encounter the raging screaming mom walking to the door to the sweet smiling and friendly mom who opens the door!

I can't wait to dive in a read up on all of the supermom stories here and am thankful to know that I am not the only one who's life is in constant chaos!

I have two blogs and I invite you read along at your leisure!

Hi there.
I am Yvonne and I have 2 wonderful kids ( 8 and 11). They keep me very busy but it's a joy to be able to spend time with them. I used to work fulltime and stopped some 5 years ago to run my own internet marketing services business from home. It's been really good, works out for us very well. I have been lucky with projects as they mostly come from my own business contacts. My clients are mainly IT companies. I build websites, microsites, develop and manage online content for companies.

I am the PTA chairperson in my children's school , that keeps me very busy with planning programs and activities for the group. We have a wonderful group of parents and we enjoy working together. I love to cook and entertaining at home, hates cleaning up though.

My DH has a travelling job , he's away 70% of the time so I am on my own most of the time to hold the fort. No complaints. I love where I am now.

Hi Supermoms!

I'm Laura.
I've got one daughter and besides the family/home activities I also do web and graphic design and design and make quilts and other craft projects. My first book is being published by C&T Publishing and should be on the shelves later this year. Sometimes it's hard to keep track of what month and year it is when you're dealing with book and magazine publishing and always thinking of the future (you know, Christmas cookies in July and all that stuff).

You can find my blog at http://quilting-diva.blogspot.com
=(^_^)= Happy Friday!

Hi all! My name is Kyra and I guess I am a Supermom too! I keep trying to add more hours to my day but since I am not like Elizabeth from Bewitched and can not twitch my nose there are never enough hours in a day! I have four wonderfully normal and very very active children, ages 7, 5, 4, and 7 months. I stay at home as it is way too expensive to go to work right now. I am going back to college, yet again, this time with every intention of finally finishing. I teach preschool at my home in the mornings with my 5 & 4 yr olds and a friends 4 yr old. Next yr starts the running around. My oldest will be in 2nd grade, my 5 yr old will be in Kindergarten in the mornings and my 4 yr old will be in preschool in the afternoons at a different school than her brothers. I am not looking forward to next year too much. So ok enough about that I am excited to join this group and get to know more supermoms!!

Hello, my name is Maria and I am a mother of a 4 year old, and I work full-time (part of the week at home). Even though there are only 3 people who live in this house, I wonder how I can keep up with everything and everyone. Everyday is a new adventure and I am Indiana Jones on most days!

Nice to meet you all.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Bev. I have two grown children, a husband of 34 years. And we are now foster parents for troubled teenage girls.

I also own three businesses - I'm an entrepreneur at heart! My latest venture is MomAudience.com a marketplace for moms, where you can find out what other moms are doing as well as list your business, blog, product, cause, whatever, for free!

I'm a professional organizer, speaker and author of the 1-2-3...Get Organized series of books, workbooks, and ebooks for the organizationally overwhelmed. And I'm a Myers-Briggs personality type facilitator - team building seminars and individual appointments.

I love it all!

Hi. I'm Gina. I have two little ones at home with my husband who is our stay-at-home-parent - 5 year old, Patrick, and 3 year old, Marcelena. They are wonderful kids with big hearts, but certainly keep us busy. I work full time doing marketing for Aisle7 (health and wellness information with a focus on food for grocers). My blog, Change Becomes Change, started as a family Lent project that we've continued with the goal of helping other families find easy, simple ways to make change happen.

Nice to meet you all!
Gina
