Grilling for information, reading diaries, or spying on your teens may seem like the only way you can find out what's going on in your teen's life, but you'll alienate your teen and force him/her to find better ways of sneaking or lying. Instead, make your home and vehicle open to your teenagers and all of their friends. By inviting your child's friends to hang out at your house, you'll become the fly on the wall, and you'll be privy to conversations that will inevitably enlighten you about your child's interactions. Bake sweets, prepare snacks, make ice-cold drinks and your house will be the favorite hangout in the neighborhood.
