I thought I would dare any other mom/wife to read and do The Love Dare. It is a book that goes in hand with the movie Fireproof. Feel free to comment on your daily dares, any needs for encouragement and the joys and results of the journey.

The Love Dare

I invite you to join The Love Dare Group. I myself started reading The Love Dare and thought what a wonderful group idea. You don't have to be reading the book to join in. I do recommend the book, since it adds more to the topic of each dare. I will also recommend the movie, Fireproof. I am sure there will be some wonderful ideas or soft reminders on connecting with our spouses. We can go through all the dares together...or pick and choose the ones you want to work on. I will include a discussion on each dare and some general topics that go hand in hand. I look forward to hearing of the rewards of loving our spouses. We can help encourage and support each other on this journey.

My name is Kelly I have three kids and I have a live in bf I adore so much. I went through a bad divorce 2 yrs ago. Me and my bf chris have been through so much and doing ok but we were doing better. I can use a boost too. I think we both can. I am so blessed!!

Comment by Viki Stanley-Hutchison on July 8, 2009 at 4:03pm: What a cool idea, Donna! After seeing your post I jumped on Amazon and ordered a "kit" with the movie, the book and the participant's guides and cd. Sorry, when I jump I close my eyes and jump with both feet, LOL!

Hubs and I have been married for 27 years, and although we've built a solid foundation I've felt like we're both taking each other, and the relationship, for granted lately. This may just be the boost we need.

Thanks so much for coming up with this idea and sharing it with the rest of us. I'll try to keep you updated on how it goes :)

I haven't seen the movie but now i really want too...can anyone fill me in, i don't mind people revealing the plot as i hate suprises anyway. I have just taken a look at the dares and i'm not sure any are very doable right now but i'm gonna try and give them a go starting from tomorrow....here's hoping my marrige improves as my poor husband has put up with a lot of my mood swings of late :)

I have been married for 19 years and believe that I have fallen out of love with my husband. I am lonely and unhappy but not enough so for a divorce. I have not yet bought the book but plan to; to see if it can work a miracle in my life.
