Thank Lori for the Welcome!! Here is something really simple that makes me happy each time I open my pantry door. The left side of the closet was wasted/dead space, we never hung anything (from upper shelf, not in pic). So my husband added the three shelves! it makes a world of difference. We have limited kitchen cabinet space, so the top left shelf is reserved for all the baby stuff! it's amazing when little things make a huge difference!

Catharine - GREAT idea. This would also work in a mud room. It would definitely cut down on the lost mittens - lol!

Hi there, i love getting organised, I reorganise things so often in the quest for the elusive perfectly efficient household that my husband never knows where things will be when he comes home!!!

I have 5 children, the oldest being almost 10 (twins) to the youngest being 20 months. My husband frequently reminds me we don't live in a museum. However, I worry that all my clutter (rather, the kids clutter) makes us look like slobs!

Is it even possible to be organized with kids? I just dream of the day when they are on their own and the only mess is MY mess! I hope to get some tips here.

Here's little organization tip I learned from a friend. Hand a shoe pouch on a door and hang your mittens in each pocket. You can do the same with sock, hats, ties, and much much more. I have one hanging in each door, one for hats, the other for mittens. I purchased the shoe racks at Target.

Hi Ladies!

I joined your group because I am an UnOrganized Single mom of 3 boys with no outside help.

I hope to learn the secrets you have for organizing messy boys who could care less if the coat hits the wall peg or the floor.

In an effort to become more organized I placed pegs on a painted and pretty 2 x 4 in each room of my house. Hangers are used as swords for my two Zorros 12 and 6.

Hanging clothes up is the hardest thing for them. I don't know why? Pegs... Easy right. sigh... any ideas for me I would sure appreciate them! Thanks! Tonya : (

This picture shows you how I feel when the clothes actually make it in the drawers and on the pegs...

My husband also picks on me for liking our house to look like a model home. He says it looks "unlived in", but I think it looks clean!
