Tough financial times. How to cope

We all have been affected or no of someone close to us that has been affected by this economic slump that the world is in today. It has put a strain on my family in a huge way. I will like to know how you all cope day to day.

First and foremost, I put my trust in God, not in Obama.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things (your needs) will be added unto you.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to prosper you not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.

Besides that, I am learning about Attraction Marketing so that I can work from home on the internet without making cold calls and spamming. http://pennyarcos.the7greatliesofnetworkmarketing.com/

Paula -Thanks for the note back. I am looking forward to connecting with other moms through this site. I am a first time Grandma as well (9 weeks old this week) so I'm kind of like a "new mom" again!! HA Thankfully my girls all live close; I know I could be making more consistent money for now at a full time job but I love being available for my family (my husband, kids and my mom --my dad just passed away so I am so thankful I had a flexible job that allowed me to spend time with him). the business I do from home is a greeting card company where you send heartfelt cards to friends/clients at a fraction of the cost of regular cards (around $1.00/card tops) - plus it allows you to add pics (which is really great in sharing the pics of your little ones to family farther away) -- Anyway, I love it because it allows me to encourage others on a daily basis. If you want to send a couple cards for fun, go to my site, www.sendoutcards.com/suegraber and just follow the prompts-- I'd also be happy to walk you through it -- again, it's a great business for people who love to stay in contact with others. not sure where to POST the website -- I'm just getting familiar with your site. My husband and I are doing some other things from home as well and we are working on a website with all the links - when we get that finished, I will pass that along as well. Most of all, though, I'm just happy to have the support of this type of site -- Have a great day -- I'll post some pictures of my family soon --

Hello Sue. Thank you for commenting to the group. I am most greatful for you sharing your story and hope and pray you stay well for many many many years to come. I wish you share with us any successful internet businesses that you found rewarding and are profiting from. I know of a few friends that tried and failed when it came to companies promising good incentives from working from home. If you have the time please post them on the site. Thank you Sue and have a wonderful day. Paula

Paula, even though I'm a more "seasoned"mom, the economic times can be a concern for us as well; my husband was downsized from his job in Corporate America almsot 3 years ago; the following year I was diagnosed with Breast CA and went through chemo and radiation for preventative treatment; I now work at the hospital part time for insurance benefits (and most of my $ earned goes for the premiums); I am thankful, though, that I am well again and CAN work -- but am putting most of my focus into my home based business which gives me the opportunity to help others; Actually, it's a proven fact that when the economy is bad, home-based businesses grow -- we've found lots of opportunities because of the Internet -- very thankful for that! Looking forward to getting to know you better. We have three grown daughters, one with a new baby who would love to stay home also - right now she's teaching Pilates with her sister who owns a Pilates Studio. I'm rambling, so better get to bed......
