I've been traveling with both my babies since they were a few weeks old. My doctor has always said, "they're healthy. go for it!" They've been everywhere. I have a 4 year old daughter and a 10 month old son, and since they are both used to traveling, they don't cry or make problems on planes (Thank God) and they are fine in car seats. Start young is my suggestion!! But, then...that's just my opinion and what has worked for me. Everyone is different. Ciao!

I've traveled around the world but my husband doesn't even have a passport yet. We just started new jobs so are working on saving up vacation and money to go somewhere. We've gone around the country for family visits and are thinking of taking the train from now on since the airport was so stressful. I look forward to all of your suggestions and advice on traveling with a family (I only have one kid - an 18 month old daughter but she is a handful!) and stories of where you've been. Can't wait to hear from all of you!

Funny how our family traveling slowed down when we had our second child, but we're researching where to go next summer. Any ideas for two girls ages 7 and 4?

Hi everyone ---I am always looking for good travel tips with my son...he's had his passport since he was 2 months old and is a pretty good traveler, HOWEVER, he IS 3 now, coast to coast flights can be more challenging if I don't book a red-eye! HA
Glad to be here, hope I can share a few tips as well.

Love traveling. I've traveled back and forth to the north coast of Spain - 3 times within the past 12 months. Here's my summers traveling tales...including NEVER getting my suitcase!

Shall we all quickly ring our own bells? I see a lot of familiar faces and talented travel writers here...

I have to throw in a new and great travel website I've been working with. Some of them are even twitter moms and dads. :) They have a blog too.

We've been traveling from birth. Well, maybe before that. I have a great picture of me, snorkeling in the Caribbean, with an 8-month baby belly.

We travel all the time, but less frequently out of the US.

Our home is equidistant to NYC and Boston, so those are in the outer perimeter for day trips.

Since I'm originally from St. Thomas, USVI, we go back every year or so. And, we visit friends & family in California, Florida, and Washington, DC. all the time.

Those trips aren't really traveling so much as they are family visits.

Our family travel adventures include trips to: The Bahamas, Argentina, a European Cruise, a week in London, a Sicilian Farm Visit, Storybook Paris, Czech Republic, and Vietnam.

My kids are now 12 & 9, and I have to say, it keeps getting better all the time!

I haven't traveled yet with my 61/2 month old son. But we are planning in November to go to Yosemite and in January to Hawaii.
