On the subject of why write about family travel? I have a post on my blog www.familyadventureguidebooks.com. My friend wrote a beautiful fairy tale on my behalf as I prepared to launch as a travel writer. If you write about traveling with kids, I hope it will put a smile on your face and affirm the work that you do.

Please check it out.

Thanks,
Bridget

Some good friends of ours are about to have a mini-series about their life as a Family on the Road premiere on TLC on October 29th. They travel in an RV fulltime like we do.

Tune in to the TODAY show tomorrow morning to see the Loud Family Live!!! (If they survive driving their RV in NYC). Their show Six for the Road (Show Schedule) airs the same night on TLC (The Learning Channel) at 10pm E/ 9 c. You can catch 2 of the 4 episodes on the 29th, 30th and the other two on the 5th and 6th of November. TLC also produces Jon and Kate Plus 8, 17 and Counting, and Little People, Big World.

We are so excited for the Loud Family (Living Our Ultimate Dream)! For more information keep an eye on these sites:

Speaking of food vacations, I did just return from WA State, where I visited family, sans kids. We had an opportunity to visit Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland, OR. Worth the stop.

Love the video! Makes me want to take a roadlike, like we used to do pre-kids. Anyone ever taken a food vacation? We love those!

Hi everyone... we are a family of 7 and we all love to travel... my first trip out of washington state was in 2005... rode on the back of a harley to strugis... loved it so much that when I got home we bought a motorhome and took the kids back to Montana.. since then we go out as often as we can. Hoping to head to alaska this summer.. might do the adults only on a cruise first.. check it out and then take kids in the motorhome :)

Hi, I write two travel blogs, one on the BootsnAll Travel Network, about family travel, and I'm one of three authors of the Perceptive Travel blog.

I have two kids, a 16-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son, so no one in the minivan is totally happy on any trip. :)
