i got karen chance's midnights daughter for xmas got it early so could read it while waiting for the big day to start on new moon its pretty good, its vampire related but more fantastical with dwarves and stuff, she's done a series which is on my wish list for next xmas, i reckon they'll be good too because her writings really easy to read. i also got full moon rising by keri arthur, its another vampire/ werewolf book but haven't read it yet cos im still on breaking dawn, looks good from reading the back. Also the dean koontz Frankenstein series are definitely worth a read only gotta wait for the third to be released in april. might keep you a little busy...

Steph just finished COA...Steph?? Your No-Spoiler Thoughts?? Or should I just post SM's quote that was on Cassandra Clare's web page -

Dear Edward and Jacob:
I adore you both. But I'm spending the weekend with Jace. Sorry!
Love,
Stephenie
— Stephenie Meyer, author of Twilight

I agree with SM...Edward for all of eternity. But a long weekend with Jace?? Okay, I'm being very bad...and I will do my deep, Lamaze breathing (yes, I remember how)...and just stop.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray is amazing. There are two more books in the series, too: "Rebel Angels" and "The Sweet Far Thing". Soooooo good. They're YA, but still amazing. And The Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini is GREAT. No vampires, but plenty of dragons, elves, etc. I have all three books, and the third left me hanging, so waiting for the fourth. It was just supposed to be a trilogy, but he said there was still too much for one book, so there's gonna be a fourth. And the kid was just 16 when he wrote the first...A-MA-ZING, I tell ya.

I've thought about reading those, but haven't yet...if they're that great, maybe I'll grab them.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this series yet, but I'm reading the House of Night series by PC and Kristin Cast. Very very good series. I started the first book last week and it sucked me in pretty fast. After finishing Marked, the rest just flew on by and now in a few short days I'm on the 5th book, Hunted. You should check them out.

I have also read the House of Night series and they are also very addictive! They are also fast reading, you can finish a book in no time. I had to start reading them again, since i'm without anything to read. I've read the Twilight series twice!

Wings by Aprilynne Pike. Go get it - hurry!!!

Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight series, has called Aprilynne Pike's Wings "a remarkable debut," adding that "the ingenuity of the mythology is matched only by the startling loveliness with which the story unfolds."

A great place to find new books to read is goodreads.com.

Got this on my Kindle the day you suggested it. Very good! Can't wait for the (obvious) sequel. :D

On our http://mundiemoms.freeforums.org/ Mundie Moms forum we got a chance to chat with her. Go check out the transcript. Aprilynne was funny and up front and gave away a smidge of a spoiler. She's truly a delight.

Try the book Dull Boy by Sarah Cross. I loved it. Here's the eye candy she sent me when she found out on twitter that I was reading her book. I do so love to share this pic, LOL -

Her blog -

"Like the best superhero stories, Cross's novel has crisp action sequences and a good sense of humor, but also gets deep into the fears and struggles of teenagers who simply don't fit in." ---Publishers Weekly

Need to read: Lament by Maggie Stiefvater

And also, Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. This is on my list to read next, but I heard it's really good too.

Sophie can probably tell you more about them.. I just read them and tell people if I like them or not hehe...
