LOL, it also sometimes mean out of canon - canon being the the original bounds set by Stephanie Meyer for the books. Anything that deviates from that is out of canon. it took me MONTHS to figure that out.

Steph have you read anything good lately?

lol i actually never really knew what canon meant.. i always see canon pairings.. go i guess i know now :D

yeah i was just thinking last night there was a story I wanted to add.. but I can't remember what it is, i'll have to look at my fav's again and find it.. there was a *freaky* one called The Perfect Wife that I wasn't so sure on posting.. i barely made it through the first couple of chapters.. it almost made me sick.. tell me if you want it posted.. this is the summary for it:

OOC/AU/AH FOR ADULT EYES ONLY.Bella moves in w/Charlie & brother James after Rene/Phil killed in accident.They train girls to become 'perfect wives' for exclusive clientele.Bella doesn't know that she will become Edward's graduation gift-His Perfect Wife.MATURE

some ppl just have a twisted imagination i guess..i wonder if that makes me twisted cus i read it..

Now that I know what OOC means, I don't mind mature and/or OOC fanfic (don't think I'd like the one StephDC just mentioned, though, because I can't stand to think of Charlie as a person who would do that. But surely it has a happy ending?!!? At least, I hope it does.

Anyway....I don't mind that as much as I mind trying to decipher the fics written with horrible grammar. I was an English major; I can't help it. I am so surprised at the sheer amount of stuff out there that would be so good if only the writers paid slightly more attention to the context of their words, and grammar. I've given up on more than I've read all the way through simply because of all the grammatical mistakes I encounter, so I don't know if the content is any good or not. I don't think I've come across any of that linked in this thread, but surely I'm not the only one with this problem, am I?

Sorry for the mini-rant! No one was asking me anyway, but I do like seeing some of the OOC stuff!

i'm hoping its a happy ending.. i think i read in one of her author's notes that she loves happy endings so there will be one, it just has to get there..

I do remember one fic that I'm absolutely loving.. well actually, come to think of it, there are two stories I'm loving, both that have the same name :D

This one has completely sucked me in...Behind Enemy Lines - International aid worker Bella Swan enters a war zone to find the man she's loved for the last 10 years. It's a race against time to save Edward Cullen from the depths of an appalling humanitarian crisis and get him out from behind enemy lines.

Behind Enemy Lines - The rescue of reporters Bella Swan and Alice Brandon was an easy mission, until Edward Masen's helicopter goes down in flames. And now they're stuck in enemy territory, alone, outnumbered, and being hunted down. To add insult to injury, he had to fall in love with her. Great timing. Canon pairings, mostly ExB, some AxJ and ExR, strong language in every chapter. Lemons in later chapters, if I dare.

Oh, oh! I know AU means alternate universe, but what are lemons? Is there a place to go to read up on what all these fanfic terms & abbreviations are, for n00bs like me?

I will have to check those fics out; they sound really good!

ooh jen I saw you just added two new ones to the C2 community.. have you already read these?? i'm guessing since you posted them, they are good.. what did you think about them? look interesting to me.

Okay, I'm not much of a writer (still honing my skills) - BUT I uploaded chapter 2 of my story to Twilighted and it is officially ready to read. Check it out. (Please be gentle on my writing skills. Hi so i am desperstly trying to find a link to the story "passion fish" I heard it was an amazing story, but the link that you posted earlier doesn't seem to be working, it just says "Access denied. This story has not been validated by the adminstrators of this site" do you know how i can get around this or of any other possible links? I REALLY want to read it :)

Pretty sure all of these are just feeding my obsession even more! I do have to admit that I dont really like the ones in which they're all human...Edward could never by anything other than non human in my head...dont get me wrong, they're REALLY well-written, and if I weren't such an obsessed vampire loving fanatic, I'd think nothing of it. But Edward? Human? It's like Bella trying to fit "Edward" and "husband" together in the same sentence in "Breaking Dawn", lol.
