If you don't here are some links to some really decent stories that either use the Twilight characters but take them in a different direction or are very well written extensions of the current stories.
OMG, read this thread yesterday, followed the links & stayed upuntil 2am reading.
My favorites are Isle Esme, Second Honeymoon and just about anything from Edward's POV.
Keep reading, there are some really good one out there. This thread hasn't been updated in awhile. been meaning to but keep forgetting.. one I've been meaning to post here is Elemental, seriously can't believe I forgot about it when I posted Emancipation Proclamation.
Elemental by TallulahBelle - AU/AH: When the Swans return to their birthplace, Bella learns she is no ordinary teenager, and Forks is no ordinary town. Can she fulfill her destiny with the powerful Edward Cullen, or will the dark forces that threaten their families destroy them all?
This story is a favorite of mine, I love stories with the elements in them, I think it's one of the main reasons I love the House of Night series (I know these aren't fanfics, but If you haven't read these you should check them out!)
Also, I know alot of you ladies read Twilighted, so I thought you would like to know that Meadow has written her own fic. It's still early on, she just posted her first chapter but check it out, she did a great job w/ the first chapter and I know she's going to do a wonderful job with the res of the story.
Frozen Spring by MeadowC - Bella moves to Forks to work on her photography and find some peace of mind after breaking up with her college boyfriend. She soon notices that strange things seem to happen around her house and finds that idyllic Forks hides a supernatural secret
I read Frozen Spring. It's a pretty good start but of course I want more and the next chapter isn't out yet. I started Elemental last night, trying to read it on my phone while I put my son to sleep. I'm trying to resist the temptation to re-read the whole series but honestly as I watch the movie again (watched it twice in the last week), I'm "seeing" things I didn't see before. And this is why I'm gonna need to get 2 tickets when NM comes out. Although I have to admit, I'm not going to be happy to have to watch so much of it without Edward. That's going to be hard. It was hard for me to read it for that reason as well. I'd definitely be interested in reading his perspective during the whole separation.
yeah, here is the link to Shadow Guardians: http://www.twilighted.net/viewstory.php?sid=651, but Twilighted is doing maintenance on their site right now so you might want to wait a little while. If you click on Jen's links at the top of the page, there are alot of stories she's favorited that aren't listed here.. I know Shadow Guardians is under her favorites on Twilighted.
Keep reading Elemental, its different, but I love it.

Do you have the link to Shadow Guardians? I didn't see that one posted.
Jen just posted new stories on the C2 community on FF.net and she did a story that I completely forgot about.
Hydraulic Level 5 - Extreme sports addict. Thrill-seeker friends. How could Bella have known when she divorced her childhood sweetheart, he’d become an acclaimed author…and skewer her in fiction? Now she's out for blood. But as Bella digs deeper, her perceptions shift...AH
I haven't read any of the others but I'm sure they're good too.. check out the 'Twilight TwitterMoms Good Reads' above to see the stories
This is so wonderful can I tell you? Granted, I wish I was plugged in back in the summer time when I wasn't on such a strict schedule with kids and everything else but at least this will quench my Twi thirst until NM which honestly should have been released sooner, it's killing me (and a bunch of other people for that matter). There's actually a Twilight Examiner on Examiner.com, National. I write for them as well but I write locally for the D.C. area and I write about traveling and entertainment with the kids. She posts an article just about every other day if not every day. You all should check her out if you haven't already. http://www.examiner.com/x-4908-Twilight-Examiner. I'm subscribed to her now.
Oh, forgot to mention that I went through the whole thread and copy and pasted each one of the story links and emailed them to my sister and BF who are also fanatics (so they think) and cc'd myself so I had everything in one place. Guess I need to hurry up and read through them all before new ones come out. Too much fun. Hey, we moms gotta find the things that we really enjoy and endulge in them, honestly. Keeps a happy home. I tell that to my husband all the time when he sees me watching the movie (again) and sucks his teeth. Hee hee hee.
