twitter moms: the influential moms network

This is a location where we can talk freely about your other half’s take on the whole Twilight craze. Are they as into it as you are, do they think you have crossed over into the freakishly weird category, or do they think you are reliving teenage lust? Whatever their take is please post I am sure there will be others with similar reactions.

LOL, you are soo not alone! I'm pretty much in love with Edward myself. I've gotten my girls at work obsessed, too. It's pretty funny that we're all dying over a fictional vampire, but everyone has to have their fantasties, right? LOL

Oh, I am so glad to know that I am not alone. I rented the dvd last week and watched it twice an loved it. my internet went down over the weekend so I went to the bookstore on friday and bought twilight thinking it would last a while. I also bought the DVD (who am i kidding? I needed this movie) I read the book nonstop had to make another trip to the bookstore for new Moon, I read that yesterday and I need to get the other two. I feel so overwhelmed with the emotions that I am thinking that it was not a good idea for me to read it so fast.

Am I the only one who cannot stop thinking about Edward? Seriously, Is this normal and will it go away? Should I join a support group?

ROTFL...I told my hubs that if I EVER meet RP, I'm not married. He laughs it off, but I wonder...if he knew that I was secretly plotting to go to Vancouver if he would find it as funny....hmmmm...lol

I also like Edward better than RP! No hate replies please. It's just that Edward is soooo shaved and hair well done and beautiful hair color and eyes and the clothes.!

That is too funny Michelle. It seems like your hubby is genuinely upset with the whole Twilight thing. I think mine just does not understand the whole draw to it. I have yet to let mine see my facebook page, but I am sure that he might react the same way. Just yesterday I was talking to him about RP and he was like who is that and, I told him the guy from Twilight. He said " oh, you mean the guy that you want to leave me for," he was joking of course, but there is some truth in all jokes. To be honest, I am not that in to RP, just not my type, but I would take him as Edward (is that strange?). I like the characters more so than the actors. Please no hate mail about the RP comment. :)

Very interesting topic Cece...
HMMNNNnnn Where do i begin? My hubby is absolutely jealous. Not so much for my constant searches and Google alerts that keep me here on this computer on and off all day, but more for my teenage crush on RP. He even asked me once, if RP asked me back to his hotel room would I cheat on him....HAHAHAHAHAHAHA My answer to that was, "When it happens I'll let you know what I decide". He didn't like that too much.
I have a facebook account that I had to change my "wall" around because of all the twilight gifts of Edward that decorated it. I had to move them into the "boxes" category, because it really bothered him...He said, "You have more pictures of "Edward" on your page than me." Then I said, "What about the piece of "flair" that says "This Bella married her Edward" .. He said, "Well, what if I had a piece of flair that said this Brad Married his Angelina"...I was like oooooooooooK. It's a really sore subject and he's trying to take the fun out of it for me.
I think he is just sick of it, I am obsessed and now that it is everywhere its really in his face....
BTW, I just hit up walmart (not usually a fan of that store) and went to the Twilight display...I got myself 2 t shirts, canvas bag and the board game. Wonder if he'll play with me?

My husband isn't bothered by it. In fact for our anniversary he got my several "Team Jacob" things including a calendar. He's interested in the books and may eventually read them himself. He laughed at me once...he came home from work one night. Our son was asleep (he was 5weeks old at the time) and I was curled up with a cup of coffee, had my water fountian on and was reading Breaking Dawn. Hubby laughed saying he felt like he was intruding by coming home. LOL
I didn't have the heart to tell him....he kinda was!

My husband liked the movie but is not into it as much as I am. He does support my habit, he is alawys looking for twilight stuff for me. He even bought me all the books.

My husband supports my love of Twilight. He doesn't totally understand the attachment I have for the books though. He bought me the movie at Midnight the night it came out and we watched it when he got home. At that point I had not read the books or really paid much attention to anything Twilight related. I have since bought and read all four books in about 3 weeks time. He doesn't mind me talking about the books since he doesn't have any interest in reading them himself. He did buy me the calendar while on a shopping trip with the kids. I have started reading Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice but contemplating starting the Twilight books from the beginning again. I miss Bella and Edward already! I cryed like there was no tomorrow at the end of Breaking Dawn. I'm glad everyone else was already in bed because they would have thought I had gone crazy.
