Retweets for week ending 7/12/09

Thought I would start it up-since none up yet-Here are Juies directions...

Please post your 140 character (or less) message that you'd like others to tweet about in the Discussion Forum thread "Retweets for the Week". I will start a new discussion with this title every Sunday so we know which retweets are current.

Example: RT @julieFBT Have u declared the American Cancer Society as the official sponsor of your birthday? http://budurl.com/ACSMoreBdays

It can be a new blog post, a product, service, worthy cause, sale, promotion, contest, funny video, new website, an upcoming event...I think you get the idea. :) Members can pick and choose which messages they'd like to tweet about to their followers.

It's important to keep in mind that if you want others to retweet for you, make sure you retweet for others or this won't work. Also keep in mind that engaging on Twitter is about posting tweets of value to your followers. Evaluate these RT requests and only retweet the ones you feel will add value.

Members may post a brief intro about themselves & their business on the comment wall, but please do not spam members.

Please do not try to sell the members your product or service. Please add this info to your profile on "my page".

Please do not ask for feedback about your blog or business.

Please do not add full blog posts. These are best left on your profile blog.

To keep this group as streamlined as possible I will delete posts that do not adhere to these guidelines without notification.

Let's keep this simple and easy for members to use. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better and building an awesome group! Thank you!!

Just something to know: Our kids learn as many good life skills from our weaknesses as from our strengths. The "bad stuff" they go through with us helps to build character, resilience, and compassion. I'm over the "bad stuff" and my kids are happily balanced teenagers. We all have our rough edges, but I allow my kids to see me fall, and more importantly, to pick myself up, brush myself off, and move forward. These are valuable lessons.
