'Come quickly I am tasting the stars" (Dom Perignon 1693- following his first sip) Are there any champagne and sparkling wine enthusiasts interested in joining a discussion about champagne?

I don't always indulge in Champagne - maybe a couple of times a year, but if we include the sparklers as well - I might have something to add.

LOL! I am known at home as the 'Champagne Monster' . I love the stuff! My favorite is Crystal and I also love Laurent Perrier (Pink) yum, yum!

I love Pop Champagne. It comes in a little bottle, like if you were ordering a split of wine. I have purchased it at Cost Plus Market. It is not too sweet, not too dry, just right!

Champagne is my absolute favorite! I'll use any excuse to pop a cork, weddings, birthdays, holidays, Fridays... Have you every seen a bottle of champagne opened with a knife? Saw the wine guy do this on our last cruise and it was cool. He just ran a dinner knife up the seam of the bottle and when he got to the top the whole top end popped off! Every New Years Eve we have a sparkling wine tasting. We'll have a Prosecco, an Asti, a Cava, a domestic sparkling wine, a Champagne and last year we found a sparkling Shiraz that was fantastic! If you want a real treat get a bottle of sparkling wine from Iron Horse in CA.
