Hello everyone,

I would like to know how to start. I have slowly decreased the need for meat for dinner. I am excited to learn where to start.

Okay, something I AM selling. :-) My third children's picture book on healthy eating is out. I wrote three. The first one is "How I Eat Without Wheat" and about a boy who stops eating gluten to get his health back. The second one is called "Nature's Candy" and is about eating healthy fruit for snacks instead of junk food. The new one is called "Veggiesaurus Lex" and is about eating veggies to get big and strong. The second two books are vegan and I thought you all might be interested if you know of young children who would like to start healthy habits while they're young! :-) www.karenfine.com or you can buy them on Amazon.com.

I found a new vegan protein bar that I LOVE and I promise I'm not selling them. I just really, really like them. :-) They're by a company called "Pure." Has anyone else tried them yet? They're gluten free, organic, vegan etc. I just blogged about them if you're interested.... Mom Cooks Gluten Free http://momcooksglutenfree.blogspot.com/2009/10/gluten-free-pure-bars.html

Hi Vegetarians/Vegans
In 2007, I made the commitment to myself to go vegetarian. It had been coming for years. Meat didn't taste like it used to.
My daughters aren't vegetarians, but will eat the dishes I prepare with glee. I do prepare the meats for them (as well as for my home child care services) and know by smell how they should be.

I have tried to eat meats since that time and have gotten physically ill.
I do look forward to great tweets/discussions, sharing of information and recipes (I share this information with my parents in my child care services. They know I prepared the foods with brain & development into strong consideration).

take care

Hey veg mamas! Please sound off about the Parenting.com poll: Is it cruel to make preschoolers follow a vegetarian or vegan diet?

Hey all, just to let you know there is a vegan breadfruit pizza recipe on my blog http://onelovelivity.com/childofnatureblog/?p=538

Elena...I look forward to hearing more about helping children be empowered as vegans...we are surrounded by a very meat dominated culture here!

Hi, all! I'm happy to be a part of a vegetarian/vegan group. I know it's only been two weeks for me as a veg., but I feel so much better. I really didn't eat meat that much anyway. For me it started out that I wanted to eat healthier and didn't want meat as part of my diet. I love cheese, but now I don't miss it. Lately, I've been hunting down new and interesting recipes. There is so much to learn!

Feeding our child 100% vegan and ~90% raw has been verrry easy! He is 6 1/2 now and since he was able to understand language and images we just kept openly feeding his mind information/facts and now he is self-empowered and makes his own decisions based on wisdom rather than subordination and we don't run a dietary dictatorship (BIG mistake especially when they get older). No forced mental feedings, just facts that are not always easy to find or commonly written and shown, about things like how animals are treated, simple facts & statistics on: pollution, disease, obesity, lowered intelligence, environment, violence... We are planning on offering much more help for parents on our free membership website at this moment we have dozens of easy recipes and hundreds of educational/recipe videos www.VeganExcellence.com Please give us constructive feedback on what your need to add so we can grow our site to serve you an the rest of our human family best!

Glad to find this group! I am very passionate to do whatever I can to help make our world more positive, compassionate, loving and especially reduce and/or eliminate animals for food. With my passion and mission in mind I welcome any and all constructive feedback on what I can improve to influence more people with my new website www.VeganExcellence.com. Thank you!

I can offer help to anyone who wants to better influence their children, especially if you want ideas on recipes.
