twitter moms: the influential moms network

This where I would like EVERYONE to introduce themselves.

If we are going to connect, encourage and support we need to know a bit more about you and what you what to bring to the table.

I will start and you can go from there! :0)

Hello WAHM's my name is Cheryl Hill. I am a former elementary teacher but several years back decided and felt a need to be home with my first baby girl.

At first as a WAHM I cleaned motel rooms, tutored, and babysat, but that really didn't give me the time to be HOME where I wanted to be.

It was then that I found my Home Business and have never looked back. It gives me the freedom to be ME but at home with the girls and help out financially!

I have a passion for helping other moms reach their dreams and be at home too and I am drawn to the computer and out and about to connect with other moms. I guess as a teacher being a team leader is also a passion and one that I enjoy as well!

Ted and I have been married for 10 years and have two beautiful girls who are 5 and 2. So life, business, girls, and my husband keep me busy but something I LOVE doing and enjoy life!

I also like to READ, GARDEN, and BE OUTSIDE! I look forward to connecting and meeting all of you.

Cheryl Hill

Hi fellow WAHM'ers. I'm a mom of two beautiful kids - a one year old girl and three and a half year old boy, have a wonderful hubby and own a PR/Marketing agency, Charisma! Communications. (www.charismacommunications.com) I've worked from home building the agency for the last 6 years and am happy to report I now have 4 members on staff and we made over a quarter of a million in revenue last year. I love seeing moms who get to balance their kids and work and would love to help other moms begin or strengthen their business. My blog, www.themotherloadblog.blogspot.com, is a way for me to share the tips, tools and chaos that contribute to the ever-elusive world of balance.

So glad to have found this group!

Hi, I'm Kellie. I always knew I wanted to be a stay-at-home-mom, but becoming a work-at-home-mom has been truly rewarding in so many ways.

Initially, I thought I would start my own business or even go back to work part time once my kids were in school, but inspiration and the need for a creative outlet seemed to hit me much sooner!
Now, here I am running two businesses from home. One is a Web based boutique specializing in clothing and gifts for twins and their families called, Trends In Twos. The other is a fun, interactive, informational Web site for parents and families who have or are expecting twins called, Twin Pregnancy And Beyond.
Both of them have really grown and allow me to be at home with my little ones while adding to our income, which feels nice. I have also learned how to do my own SEO, HTML, CSS, graphic design, and all that tech-y webmaster-y stuff I had no clue about a couple of years ago!

By the way, I have a 4 1/2 year old daughter, 2 1/2 year old identical twin sons and another baby girl due this April 2009. I'm 33 and have been married for almost 10 years, but met my husband when I was a mere 15 years old...lol!

Hi, my name is Sindhu Giedd. I am 26 years old, a wife to my best friend, and a mother of two sweet little boys (14 months and 2 and half years). I recently started a business which offers in home music lessons, called Atlanta Fine Arts. I really hope business picks up soon!

Other than this, I am a freelance musician (pianist and singer) although I love staying home with my little boys. I am also a Christian. My relationship with Christ defines who I am and what I do. I would love to connect with other Christian moms.

I guess I just need encouragement on my new business and tips from other WAHMs on how I can succeed.

Hello from Austin, TX! I am a WAHM who owns As Such Communications (www.as-such.com). I specialize in marketing communications: graphic design, PR, event planning, etc.

I am mom to a 6 yr old and a 3 yr old. And wife to Brett for 10 years in October.

As with all WAHMs, it is all about balance. And I certainly need some of that right now.

Hello!

My name is Karin Magar
I am an agent for Lovable Labels, which provides personalized kids labels that don't come off!
I have became an agent after I had my first child. The first time I took her to the church nursery I was annoyed with the masking tape they used to label her bottles. I knew there had to be a better way! Then I found Lovable Labels! Now everything my children own is labeled! The best part is that we don't loose anything!

I look forward to getting to know all of you and your businesses! =)

Hi, I am over 40 and graduated last year from university. My previous life (if you could call it that) was working in Customer Services for British Gas. I left when my son was born and never regretted it.

Now they're older (13 & 11yr old daughter) I am reclaiming my life a little more every year. I have set up my own web design business working from home so that I can still be around when necessary. Teenage years are upon me - yikes!

My husband is an entertainer who is looking to go into the pub business so I do need to be able to balance work and life. Sometimes it's a little precarious but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I realise that I do not want to become isolated in my office which is why when I find a good group of people I reach out to make contact. Through doing this I have net buddies in Europe, USA & Canada. We may never meet but they're important to me.

Hi I am Susan. I am an Online Editor, since 1998 after my last child was born. I'm a Canadian, and have worked both from home for many years and worked outside of the home for 3+ years at the same time. I definitely prefer self employment.

Hi all! I am Jill, the owner and creator of TheBowtique.com
I have been in the accessory business for a few years now and it continues to keep me busy....well that and my two lovely girls ages 5 and 3. I am also expecting our third child this October, so I am not too sure how that will affect working at home.
I also love to blog (www.inafizz.blogspot.com) and taking photographs whenever I have some spare time!! (ha)
I am always looking for ways to promote business without much of an advertising budget, so networking is very important to me!
I look forward to meeting some cool Moms in the same situation as I am.

I am a mom of three teens and I have a business making & machine embroidering items for sale. I enjoy sewing and creating things and believe the best gift is a handmade one! Sometimes I work from a pattern and other times I let my creativity take over. I love the challege of customizing a quilt or other project to suit the needs of my customers. I have a website but also enjoy setting up a booth at local craft fairs and interacting with the people. I am hoping this will be a great place to meet other moms like me and share ideas and thoughts!!
Have a great day!
