twitter moms: the influential moms network

Hi everybody I'm new to all this tweeting and twittering but noticed this discussion forum and thought I'd give it a go. So I got my wifit at Christmas and have been using it on and off in fits and starts. Has anybody lost any weight from using it? My husband got me the fitness coach for my birthday as well and I find that a bit boaring but the wifit is fun.

Hi Leanne,

I have only been doing wii fit for a short time. But I have lost a little weight every day since I started. I set small goals for the next 2 months and feel like I'm moving in that direction when I lose even a little every day. :)

I think it's about doing something/anything ~ even wii fit consistently to see results. I have the fitness coach too, but haven't gotten past the set up. IT seems just like doing a workout video.

Hi Jackie

Thats fantastic that you are loosing weight. I got my wiifit for Christmas and haven't lost any weight with it yet. Well I will loose 3 pound then put it back on two days later lol. Then again I haven't been on it enough I don't think. I will try and make a concerted effort to use it more and hopefuly those pounds will start to shift. I already go kickboxing twice a week and that hasn't helped me shift any weight either:-( I really don't like the fitness coach I thought it would be a lot more interactive than it actually is and was quite disappointed with it really the balance board is much better. Thanks for your reply - Leanne

Hi Leanne

I also got my fitboard for Christmas and have lost 7lbs, although I have been doing 45 mins of aerobics each day combined with 30 mins of my fitness coach. I guess it it just a case of sticking with it. I have unlocked all the games/activities and my favorite is the penguin on ice so I always finish off with a few ganmes of this as my reward.

I also play a few games with my 8 year old daughter - all star cheerleading and sports island and it doesn't feel like a workout. I live in the UK and am going on a cruise round the Med in June so I guess that's also my incentive to loose weight. Although I may struggle when I come back unless I can find another goal to aim for.

Keep at it

Hi Tracey

Thanks for your reply. I think its just finding the time to do it isn't it! Going on a cruise is certainly a good incentive. I'll have to suggest that one to my husband "for reasons of weight loss only we need to go on a cruise" :-) Not sure it'll work but definitely worth a try! Anyway some bright spark suggested I get up early to incorporate my exercise into my daily routine so I did a Davina DVD this morning - only problem is I've now got big dark rings under my eyes from the early morning - can't win!
