I am all about family and love spending as much time with them as possible. My 2nd passion is bringing awareness to Type II diabetes. It is near and dear to my heart. Since being diagnosed a little over 3 years ago, I have lost 100 pounds.
March 2007 is a special chapter in my life. It was the month my struggle to control my diabetes took on a whole new light. I reached my goal weight set by my doctor and was able to be taken off all artificial means to control my diabetes.
My diabetes is now under control through diet and exercise. With weight-loss and exercise, I have now lost 100 pounds.
Type II Diabetes can be managed or prevented. My success at controlling my diabetes has led to a new found dedication and passion in educating others on how to eat right & exercise. It brings me great joy to share my story with others and in doing so inspire them to “get up and get moving!”
I am a diabetes advocate for the American diabetes association.
I am a passionate public speaker with experience speaking to youth, at gyms, and at offices, and shred my story with many web sites.
Sharing my message about losing 100 pounds and getting my life back has truly been a blessing and it's something I love to do.
If you would like to book a speaking engagement or are interested in me sharing my story on your web site please contact me.

What a great way to celebrate some major changes I have made in my life. I am running for Mrs. Idaho. It brings me great joy to share my story. I have been so blessed to speak to so many people about the positive changes I have made since being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
Wow! I loved reading about you and your story. I need to lose about 60 pounds to be at a truly healthy optimal weight. It isn't even about looks, I just don't feel good. So you are a inspiration. ThE sad thing is that I will probably need a moment, like you diagnosis in order to get me to really do it. So unfortunate.
Do you have a Twitter account? What do you tweet about?
I tweet about my fight with breast cancer and being a brand new mom. I am trying to find more people to follow me so that my story will help spread awareness: http://twitter.com/ViralCEO

Welcome and thanks for the invite! My son has Type 1 Diabetes (he is 15) and has NO OPTIONS in regards to ever being able to go off of insulin. When I hear people say they are Type 2 and I know they have options and don't do anything about it, I wish they knew how lucky they are to have a type of diabetes that can often be reversed. Good for you!! Best wishes.
