Oh, the action around here!
I only speak English (I can get by in French) but when I hired a nanny for my two little ones we chose a Mandarin speaker. Although fluent in English, she spoke only Mandarin to my kids who learned the vocabulary and pronunciation super fast.

While it is possible that the yelling woman has a different parenting style that includes yelling, I wonder if something more is wrong. It seems odd that an adult, at a party and in the company of many other adults, did not control herself better....
