Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

PPS: We invite all bloggers to join the TwitterMoms Blog Network. It's a free, easy way to build blog traffic.;

A little about yourself...
My name is Angela. First and foremost, I am a mother to five wonderful children. We have four boys and one girl, ages 18, 16, 13, and 6 year old twins.

We are transplanted Texans, living in Highland Park, Illinois courtesy of the U.S. Navy. Being married to the military has its perks and its disadvantages, but for the most we tend to focus on the upside of military living.

My children are my life, simply stated. I do everything I can to enstill in my children the values, beliefs, and morality my parents handed down to me, sometimes feeling as though what I'm doing isn't affecting them in any way. Then I witness, out of the corner of my eye, one of them doing something kind for someone, lending a helping hand, supplying a shoulder to cry on. It is then that I realize that they truly understand and I'm thankful.

My children each have their own special needs, ranging from ADHD and Autism to rare disorders and post-kidney tranplant.

Writing is my passion! I utilize this skill as a means to inspire and counsel others, express my opinions, and put a voice to the thoughts and questions that clutter my mind on a daily basis. If I don't write them down, sort them out, and make sense out of them, my head will explode! Alright that is stretching the truth a bit, but at least that's how it feels.

Satirical humor, particularly sarcasm, have and always will be my coping mechanism. My kids tell me I have this twisted ability to make even the most serious of situations funny. What can I say? It's just the wicked way my mind works to deal with every day stress, and definitely not meant to offend.
What kinds of things do you typically Twitter about?
Life, parenting, special needs, autism, kidney disease, writing, editing, inspiration, motivation, blogging, twins, kids, children
What are your areas of interest?
mommyhood, business, blogging, home & garden, special needs children, twins/multiples, crafting, twitter, teen moms, work-at-home, writing

My Son, My Angel, My Hero: A Story of Hope in the Face of Adversity

One of my four sons, Koby Dylan, has a rare kidney disease called Fanconi's Syndrome, and a metabolic/blood disorder called Cystinosis . After numerous emergency room and clinic visits at 11, 12, and 13 months of age, he was finally admitted, tested, and diagnosed with the kidney disease (Fanconi's Syndrome).

The doctors had said that it could have been caused by malnutrition, which would have been likely since he had been vomiting six to eight times daily, or from the rare, recessive genetic d… Continue
