- A little about yourself...
- I am an opinionated and hot tempered (very hot tempered) Italian woman. I was born and raised in Rome, close to Coliseum – in fact numerous times, I went to the Coliseum at night to play hide and seek with my friends – not that this fact is particularly relevant but it sounds cool so there you have it
Another cool fact of no particular relevance. My grandfather was a marquee, Giacomo Tedaldi di Tavasca, I didn’t inherit an wealth but hopefully some of his good humor and kindness.
I am a mom to five girls, and the wife of a Ninja who works for the United States Air Force. We live in small towns all over the United States — wherever Uncle Sam sends us. I don’t like being defined as a military wife, but it’s a large part of my life.
More things about me:
* I have an opinion on pretty much anything, but my opinions always change. I am neither liberal nor conservative.
* I really dislike bugs.
* I used to be an investment banking analyst on Wall Street, what used to be Wall Street in the good old days. I was also a law student and Yoga instructor.
* As a young girl my dream was to 1. live in Texas; 2. have a locker in a real American high school 3. be a cheerleader; 4. learn how to ride a horse 5. and most importantly master a southern accent. I never got a locker or learned how to ride a horse, but have been to Texas a few times and own two pairs of cowboy boots.
* I moved to the United States when I was 18 years old to pursue my dream of becoming a dancer.
* I love country music and I am not related to the mafia, not even remotely, though I had always wanted to be the daughter of someone connected, especially when the economy isn’t doing well.
* I syndicate a column, Out of the blue, about this sweet life
* In my spare time I am a free-lance journalist and I love to talk to people and find out that we share some of the same basic human experiences.
