The Break-Up Diet: A Memoir

Annette always believed in happily ever after and was busy working her Five-Year Plan: marry her golf-pro boyfriend, homeschool her preteen son, become a famous writer, and retire to Fiji.

When her live-in boyfriend calls it quits, Annette finds herself on The Break-Up Diet, consuming vast amounts of chocolate and exercising by diving blindly into the shallow end of the dating pool.

Working as an exotic dancer to bankroll her aspiring writing career and support her son alone, Annette uses her blue-collar instinct to survive in the plastic jungle of The OC.

Annette’s adventures take her on a wild ride as she attempts find the perfect balance between her dreams and her day-to-day life as Supermom.

A little about yourself...
I'm the author of The Break-Up Diet: A Memoir, a spoken-word storyteller, and freelance writer and editor living in Laguna Niguel, California.

I speak at national writer’s conferences and provide freelance services that include manuscript analysis and publishing and online marketing consulting.

I also teach in-person and online workshops: Online Author & Book Promotion, The Hungry Writer's Guide to Tracking & Capturing a Literary Agent, and Memoir 101: Drawing From Your Life to Create Your Story.

I'm married to the love of my life, my Danish Prince Charming. I adore my fiercely independent photographer son--who recently empty-nested me. And I'm left to alpha-mom my two rescued dogs--a Rott/Shep and Lab/Pit. My sweet Greyhound crossed the rainbow bridge in Oct. '08.

I was a single mom for 15 years, sole support and care, before I got married for the first time 5 years ago. I also homeschooled my son through junior high, so it's been quite an adventure!

I even copy and pasted it separately in Google and it keeps sayine, "Connection Interrupted." I have tried over 3 days, and the same happened. Perhaps you can ask someone else to try and click on it. I don't think it's my computer.
