I have to get back into a workout routine and lose weight again. I work full time and often work an hour or two overtime so 40+ hours weekly. I write parttime - probably 20+ hours weekly. I often have to take my daughter to softball practice and g...
I'm trying to say "no" as I feel overcommitted, but my husband often gets angry that I won't drop everything to do what he thinks necessary. It's hard when I work full time, have kids at home, and try to work parttime as well.
I loved the entire Top 4 this year, but my favorite was Adam, Danny, Kris, Allison in that order.
I wish them all well. I send my congrats to Kris. And I can't wait to see how high Adam flies.
First of all, I'm new here, so I'm waving hi and bringing a proverbial batch of cookies to all of you. Or would a bottle of wine be better?
I joined because I'm a mom of teenagers. But I'm also a grandma. I wonder if there are others like me here...

If A Picture Says A Thousand Words Do You Click Through On Twitpics?
I'm a geek and probably a nerd. I get a kick out of Star Trek and being on the cutting edge of technology.
I've been seduced by Twitter and Facebook to my woe, and to many of the Twitter apps.
One of my favorite Twitter apps is Twitpic which I'm sure is short for "Twitter pictures".
I blog to get to know and be known by my friends and readers, so why not take it one step further? I read that popular stars like Vin Diesel and Shaq are masters of staying in touch with their fans and friends.

Does having a day job help or hurt writers?
I just read a post that asks the question, "does having a day job help or hurt writers?" The author had recently read another post asking the same thing so I'm jumping into the fray.
Like anything else, it depends.
It depends on what the day job is.

Mom and Grandma
First of all, I'm new here, so I'm waving hi and bringing a proverbial batch of cookies to all of you. Or would a bottle of wine be better?

My oldest child is 28. My youngest is 14. The three inbetween are 27, 25, and 18. Since the 18 year old graduates high school this month, I officially only have one "child" left in my house. However, all but my oldest child still lives at home. I won… Continue
