After Ike, we got back home around the end of October, just before Halloween. We have a 3 story historic home and had about 4 feet of water on our first floor. The first floor contains our garage (ie washer dryer, tools, lawn mower) and our office (ie computer equipment, personal files, furniture). It was such a mess. Our home is still not finished, but we have just been taking it a day at a time, trying not to get too frustrated. We were certainly luckier than some, so we are thankful for that.
Did you have any major damage from the trees?
Can you believe the power outages? Never thought I would ever experience anything like it.
