A little about yourself...
I'm a single mom with 3 children ages 17, 14 and 7. I am also a very aggressive entrepreneur who enjoys making the world a better place for our children and working tirelessly to spread awareness on a hair-pulling disorder that affects 1-2 out of 50 people... Trichotillomania or Trich.
I enjoy working at home and social networking which helped me won the 2009 Notable Winner of the Leading Moms in Business Competition!
Please help me more create awareness by joining my Cause Page!
What kinds of things do you typically Twitter about?
trichotillomania, single parenting life, biz owner, non-profit founder
What are your areas of interest?
business, home & garden, twitter, work-at-home, fashion and beauty, fitness, decorating
Imagine as a woman or a woman in your life who wants to get out and go to work and that her job requires her to "look professional from head to toe"? Now just imagine if that woman has to hide her appearance in a hat or unnatural wig?...

Folks who suffer OCD and many other different conditions can often "pass" in society with little or no suspicion. Not so with compulsive hair-pulling (Trichotillomania), which highjacks a person's peace of mind and their looks. Current estimates there are 1-2 out of 50 people living with Trichotillomania.

As the owner of a hair specialty salon The Secret Mane for hair loss and hair disorders, Charlene Blacer saw first-hand the great need of this underserved population and founded Help Me 2 Stop.org, a charitable organization which provides grants for Trichotillomania sufferers to receive free or affordable cosmetic treatments to help boost their morale and get them on the road to recovery.

Please create awareness and please support Help Me 2 Stop.org. Join our Cause Page!

Please help me create Trich awareness! Join- http://causes.com/HM2S

I learned of a little girl taken from her school and parents because "she was crazy". Authorities felt she should not be around other children. But she just suffers from a hair pulling disorder that affects 1-2 out of 50 people... Trichotillomania.

Please spread awareness throughout schools, churches, communities...

Do you have a Twitter account? What do you tweet about?

I tweet about my fight with breast cancer and becoming a mom for the first time. I have been trying to find more people to follow me so that I can spread awareness:

Hello Charlene! My name is Beatrice and I sell Ardyss body reshaping garments for women of all ages, sizes and body types. I came here specifically for the mothers who are interested in losing the baby fat and getting back in shape, the ones who are pregnant and looking for extra support during pregnancy, as well as for the empty nest mothers who are looking to pamper themselves and restore their pre-child figure. :-) If you are, let me know and I'd be happy to provide you with more information about the company and answer any questions. Have a blessed day and I hope that you are enjoying motherhood!

Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.
