Um, first of all, you totally rock for forwarding the catalog to Fred Wilson! Thanks! I really appreciate it! The catalog is so far from perfection but I wanted to get it out in time that people could hear about it and support moms this holiday season. It needs a table of contents and so much more. I did all my shopping from it and had so much fun.

Please let me know any other suggestions you have - would love to hear them!

Thank you!

Megan

Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

Donors Choose Challenge

Have been playing around on www.DonorsChoose.org Last night contributed to some projects that expired in a day. Got the $$ back, so picked some new projects today that also expired soon. (Seems like the teachers whose projects don't get funded could use some help in some basic "spread the word" tools...)

I contributed to the two below. I picked these, as my younger son entered 2 grade 2 years behind in reading (i.e., started Grade 2 reading below a Kindergarten level). He ended that year slightly above grade level. Thanks go to great teachers, as well as a classroom with lots of books. These projects were closest to my heart. as they offer something similar to other kids.
--Classroom Project:"Hear ye, Hear Ye! Books on CD!"
--Classroom Project: "Books, Books, and More Books"

If you are willing to donate $10 to many $10's, there are a broad range of other great projects if these don't ring a bell.

I am thinking of giving the kids each a $10 gift certificate so they can pick something (and in the process get an introduction to giving back which can be hard to convey to kids who have what they need).
