Thank your for your feedback, Kimm. You have brought another solid voice to this issue. What do you think the majority of our community feels about the positions of public figures like President Obama, Colin Powell and Oprah Winfrey? Are these in...

Your words honestly resonate with me. Every single one of them. I think we are all frustrated about the music industry, it is completely ridiculous. I wonder if the artists will ever take responsibility for their actions. I take that back. I no lo...

Like Kim, I'm most concerned with the negative imagery in the music business. This hip-hop pseudo thug culture is killing our young people IMO. The things they're hearing are not even real, but children can't discern the fact from fantasy and end ...

I think the images are a mixed bag. On the one hand images of Pres. Obama and other influential African Americans( Colin Powell, Oprah Winfrey, etc. ) are becoming more and more common. Yet there still remains a barrage of negative images of Afric...

Thanks for sounding in Toni. You are right. I know with my daughters, my husband and I would like for them to have crushes on cute guys that look like them. That doesn't happen. I'm cool with the Jonas Brothers, but when I was younger, there were...

Hi Dana, I don't think we have been adequately represented since the Cosby days. However, I will note that the soaps seem to be doing a great job with black families-they are not all poor. My biggest frustration is that there are not a lot of movi...

Hello Everyone! I need you to sound off. I am working on an article about how images of the black family in the mainstream (or lack of) affect our self-image. How do they make you feel? As a wife? Mother? Woman? Does the behavior of some Africa...

Do you write for kids? Do you write for adults? Fantasy? Fiction? History? Let's face it, you write alone, but you don't have to be alone. Let's support each other.

Do you need hours alone every day? Love quiet conversations about feelings or ideas, feel awkward in groups and hate small talk? Do you have to be dragged to parties and then need the rest of the day to recuperate? Connect with other introverts here!

I struggle with that about 4 days a week. It's a tough spot because the reason I stay home with them (and homeschool) is because I love them and want to enjoy them before they are gone. Time goes so fast. However, I think I am the only one around ...

Do you have a Twitter account? What do you tweet about?

I tweet about my fight with breast cancer and becoming a mom for the first time. I have been trying to find more people to follow me so that I can spread awareness:

Hi Dana! I'm Beatrice. Here for all of the Moms interested in recovering their pre-child figure. My garments correct the posture, lift the breasts, flatten and strengthen the abdomen, eliminate all back fat as well as lift and firm the rear. With consistent wear, healthy eating, and light exercise, the garment will mold the body into a more appeasing shape. For more info feel free to message me or email me at ardyssintrep@yahoo.com.
Hope that you are enjoying Motherhood. :-)
