SaVonni, that is awful. I also homeschool and mine aren't even school age yet! I will not subject my kids to being treated differently because the teachers can't see past the color of their skin.
To Parent Up we need parents first. Unfortunately what we have running around here now are moms and dads, and sometimes not even that.
There need to be more parenting classes. People need to realize that parenting is a full time job. You don't get...
I would tell her to go with her gut. Love and snuggle that baby. Lots of skin to skin contact. Babywearing and breastfeeding help build strong bonds.
I also say to ENJOY her baby. The time goes so very fast and we are in such a hurry for our kids ...
Do you have a Twitter account? What do you tweet about?
I tweet about my fight with breast cancer and being a brand new mom. I am trying to find more people to follow me so that my story will help spread awareness: http://twitter.com/ViralCEO
Hi Darcel! I'm Beatrice. Here for all of the Moms interested in recovering their pre-child figure. My garments correct the posture, lift the breasts, flatten and strengthen the abdomen, eliminate all back fat as well as lift and firm the rear. With consistent wear, healthy eating, and light exercise, the garment will mold the body into a more appeasing shape. For more info feel free to message me or email me at ardyssintrep@yahoo.com.
Hope that you are enjoying Motherhood. :-)
I'm always so happy to find others so into Unschooling and breastfeeding, etc. I'll be glad to have your girls look at my pics, too :) And...I invite you to show them more fun "lips" pics at www.myspace.com/annduncan in the "givin lip" album :) And...while you're there, I invite you to read my blog about those crazy big red lips :) It is SO fun to help others smile!
Do you and your girls happen to anything along the line of vermiculture? We want to do that next.
My fav Unschooling site is www.holtgws.com What is yours?
Welcome to Homeschooling Moms, Darcel. And does it sound like you and I are on the same page!!! Adorable blog home pic :) We Unschool, big time, and so, so glad we're on this path. Funny, just yesterday was talking with my youngest about how many times I've breastfed other's babies, and how my sis and friends and I swapped when it was helpful. And how I would not dare do that these days, with liability and all that fun stuff.
