And your 9 yo telling you that you're just about the best mom on earth! Priceless, yes???
I appreciate the set-up at the fencing academy. She fences other kids from 5 to 7pm on Tues/Thurs.
And then stays to fence adults, usually all males, from 7 to 9pm. Pretty strenuous. Also very fun, as she socializes plenty between bouts, all the way through. I think it's great for her to have friends there her own age and to have these older friends, as well.
The men treat her like a daughter/granddaughter/niece, except on the fencing strip. On the strip they treat her like a worthy opponent. And that exactly the way she wants it! She counts her bruises as trophys, ha!
I plan to have a great weekend. Will go on an Artist's Date :)

Would LOVE for my son to be that close! And hoping to have that come to pass in the near future, us moving his direction.

Daughter making dinner? Cool! Funny, as I read your comment, my dd is in the kitchen putting something together for dh.
What does your daughter into? Mine is into reading and writing and, most passionate about, fencing.
