Still trying to figure out how to participate in Twitter Moms and this group. Any tips? Don't know why this is so confusing to me.

A little about yourself...
Love connecting w/ busy women. I'm a "senior mom" (kids are adults now) but I have been a WAHM (mostly direct sales) for most of my "mom years". I home educated my two (son now 29, daughter now 27) the upper 6 grades and love to help others along that path.

Our son has ADD and Asperger's Syndrome. He's very high functioning intellectually (am I intellectual enough to spell that?) but more awkward socially. He's just returned to college this month and except for one melt down last week, he's doing ok so far.

Daughter is expecting our first grand child (girl) so I am also interested in "baby stuff" again! LOL!
We are active in our church, love to sqaure and round dance and relocate (as retired Army I think we have a gypsy gene). Our home state is TX, but we came to UT a year ago to live nearer daughter.

Follow me on Twitter (debbyecannon) and FB (DebbyeCannon/724468894).
I'm an author, speaker and mom mentor. I also have a blog w/ tips for simplifying busy mom life @ http://BusinessMomMentorBlog.com, right now I am working on a book for spring with activities to keep kids occupied. Send me your faves!

Just read your 'a little about yourself' and you sound fun! I have 4 grown kids (35 down to 27) and 1 (15 1/2) still at home. I have 2 grandchildren (12 and 10) and a daughter that plans to start her family this year.

We home-educated the first 4 and now unschool the youngest. Wish I'd known of this in time for my older kids. We've dealt with ADD, as well.

I'm big on simplifying, too, especially in the nutritional food prep arena.

Looking forward to getting to know you, Debbye!

Hi, Debbye :) Sorry, I'm a new comer to the group, too. I'm super into Nourishing Traditions, which, from what I see, so far, seems to include a lot of gluten free. Have you visited us yet at Nourishing Moms?

Blessings!

Debbye, I'm so glad we connected here!! As a mother of an adult daughter with Asperger's, it's nice to know that someone else has walked in my shoes, so to speak. I grew up in a military family (Air Force) and my husband was in the Air Force, so I have moved many times. I started my working from home when my children were young. Follow me @healthymcm on Twitter. Also on FB.
