Obese Children Miss More School

Studies conducted by the Obesity Research Foundation found that obese children miss more school days than non-obese children. This may be due to inability to walk to school, more ill days due to diabetes, metabolic syndrome or other associated illnesses. Children may also miss due to psychological issues due to rejection or bullying by their peers.
Our children do not have to go through these mental and physical hurdles. We can prevent childhood obesity. YoMedics is here to help. If you know of… Continue

TV and Childhood Obesity

Did you know that the American Acadmey of Pediatrics does not advise your child watching any TV before the age of 2 years? I think this is great as I think much of our society, including physicians, are too much into the give me a quick medication and be done with it. I use a lot of alternative therapies in my pediatric practice.
The point that I always like to make about this is that it frustrates me that parents many times talk about how they do not want a medication or… Continue
