Oh, the action around here!

No. O.K. so this is a very short and sweet answer but I have worked with young children for over 35 years, mainly helping them learn to read, and I have been amazed at the different ways children come to reading. For example - some children seem ...

Hi Patricia,

Lemme know if you need any help with getting going...I've been online for a number of years now. All Info About Reading gets an average of over 200 visitors daily (finally!), so it feels like I'm getting the word out. I'm far from an expert, but I'll be happy to lend a hand any way that I can.

Very much looking forward to your blog and to getting to know you...sounds like you have a ton of experience doing what I'm doing right now-educational 'consulting' (i.e. tutoring) with a wide range of clients. My newest (starting next week) is a first grader who is failing and has already been held back a year to repeat kindergarten. I'm also a special ed teacher by training, and my 'day job' is working at the county mental health doing literacy development with intellectually challenged adults. Let's talk!

Oh I talk to him all the time by reading to him or even when I am cooking or cleaning. We walk everyday and I ask him which way and things. He talks a little as well. I also talk to him when we are out shopping. I have done this sense he was a baby. Everone looks at me like I am crazy. Oh well do I care? No I do not. After losing my 16 year old to a guy not paying attention I am not letting anything stopping him and
I from being close as well as best friends. We even take him to the mall to play evey Sunday. This week we went to the Stock Show and the Duck pond. Boy did we have fun. Now he says Duck. Today was a hard day as his puppy died.
