What is a promotion without a title change or raise? I'm confused.

We know ALL moms work, and work hard. We just happen to work outside the home. Lets talk about day care, family leave policies, sick days, missing our kids and more...

Hi Erin,

I'm writing to introduce you to a new website I launched for Triangle parents a little over a year ago. Triangle TRACKS, located online at www.triangletracks.com, is an acronym for "Tools, Resources and Activities for Carolina Kids." As a local mom of three and a former magazine editor, I've come across lots of great resources for kids in the Triangle region, so I decided to put them all on ONE website for local families to use. Triangle TRACKS is also a social networking site for parents, so those who join can post blogs, forums, calendar events and other information for other parents to see. I also issue a free, monthly e-newsletter filled with children’s events and resources planned for that month. Let me know if you’d like to subscribe.

Due to the success of Triangle TRACKS, I started Charlotte TRACKS at www.charlottetracks.com for parents in the Charlotte region last month. I’m hoping it will achieve the same success as Triangle TRACKS.

I wanted to reach out to you to find out if you could let your Triangle friends know about this site via email, Twitter or other social networking sites you belong to. And if you get a chance, let me know what you think of Triangle TRACKS.

By the way, my Twitter URL is http://twitter.com/triangletracks.

Thanks,
Elizabeth Shugg

I feel your pain about leaving your little angel. I felt like the worst mom ever leaving my little twin girls for the first time. I was sleep deprived, when they got sick I would get flack from work. ( I work at a children's hospital you would thing they would understand sick children.) But I am glad now that they are in kindergarten they had the opportunity to experience life outside of home because it make them adapt easier. It may not seem like it now but it will get easier.

Great to have you here! We've got an incredible group of women connecting on all sorts of topics, so kick back and make yourself at home. Check out the Twittermoms groups (we have something for everybody). The Twittermoms discussions are quite entertaining, too. Or, just get to know your fellow Twittermoms by browsing some Twittermoms profiles or searching for moms who share your interests, add friends, and start twittering with some incredibly smart and interesting moms.

PS: Let your friends know when you're on twittermoms with a click of the Announce Yourself link in your welcome box. If your Twitter friends are interested, they can check out the cool new place you've found!

Again -- if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

How THEY do it...

So it's been two weeks since I officially became a working mother and...I am in awe of everyone that has gone before me. How do you have time for ANYTHING?

My day goes something like this.
2:00 a.m. Wake up, feed Wonderbug. Go back to bed.
Sometime between 5:30 and 6:30 - Feed Wonderbug. Get up. Shower with him in the bouncy.
7:00 - Eat breakfast while checking email on my blackjack.
7:30 - 8:00 - Drop off Wonderbug at day care.
8:15 - 11:30 Work, work, work. Twitter. Work, work, work.
